Today we have what i'm calling my 'Solid Tabletop' level project for Mr Whaley these arrived just over 3 weeks ago looking for a loving home to nurse them back to health after a long journey so I did my best and glued any wounds and bandaged and stabilised any other injuries!

then I painted them up! 10 Terminators, 5 Drop Pods, 4 marines, 4 Dreadnoughts, 2 Rhino's, 2 Rapiers

I'm just gonna dump some pics, and also just in case you see anything amiss I've touched up some bits after I saw the large images

Really great work, such a lovely colour you have going, of course not really my kind of green, but hey it's green, it will do. Nice drop pods, they intrigue me as models in game terms, but hey I like the look of these.

Doing the big catch-up now. From the Imperial Fists Dreadnought to the big resin 'bot. Those Salamanders are just outstanding. I have no idea how you can put out that quality so quickly. The titan plates also look pretty special as well. Looking forward to seeing how the final product turns out there.

...and did you say Nurgle and Marines?

Pretty much what happened to me too! the doors are too heavy and if they open too fast or at an angle they snap the hinge covering and then there's no room to pin or secure back together. I was forced to use GS and make a fairly unsightly solid mound to hold them on but hopefully it won't be too noticeable on the table.

The dread pods are cool, but poorly designed for sure. The doors weigh a ton, and the resin holding them in place is very thin. They are also out of production now.

Mine Dread DP will not work without a total rebuild of the doors.

What Nerd has done for you should be a decent HH army. Part of the issue is getting things to where they need to go to be effective.

Still lots of shooting, Large squads, squads with multiple weapon repeats ( 10 ML or meltaguns ) make shot work of units.

Looking forward to the carnage.

I will probably come back from Chicago with an idea of what it needs, so don't be shocked to see more green dudes. I imagine more special and heavy weapons for sure at the least. Should be set on dudes with Bolters thought.

Probably a Warhound sized Knight or 2.

Finally a decent update on the Reaver titan

I had them nearly done and then realised i'd forgotten a step in the process which meant I needed to literally re do every single panel and every single swirl and pattern and seeing as each one needs going over 3 times during the process it was laborious to say the least.

hard to get decent pics without movement, they look like a rose gold inlaid with designs and when the light hits it it's kind of beautiful








There you go! hope you like it so far, I'll do the metal banding next on all the panels and the titan's main body next I think then start the main body.

We are running out of words bud, that is just sublime, reeally beautiful work, this will be a stunning piece when complete.

The detail on that reaver is absolutely stunning.

Thanks guys, she's coming along now I know there's a lot of fluff on how they should look with houses etc. but I wanted to do something really different and intricate, so the swirls got the nod the main body will be a darker metal with some usual glazes and detailing and more weathering on the lower parts of the legs but not too much, I may play around with powders but i'll decide on that later.

all I know for sure is this: I am going to either need to make my own wash from paint or buy a cubic foot of washes in various shades to finish this beauty no airbrush either, just a Nerd, a room a brush and a lot of music to get me through.....
