Hello everyone!

As some of you may know, I'm making an Inquisitorial Conclave army. I was just thinking of neat ideas to add to the army and I was thinking of a prison-like transport, used by the Conclave to take badguys away for interrogation later. As I'm Ordo Hereticus, I was thinking something suitably anti-psykery (perhaps built out of a terrain piece, since the Imperial cities have a lot of neato gothic gubbins on them!). The issue is I wanted it to look obviously like a prisoner transport.

I would like to combine this with in-game utility, but it can be any Imperial transport. So my questions are:

1) Any idea which mini would look suitably like a prisoner transport vehicle? I am totally willing to convert (I love it in fact) so even something as simple as "rhino with a little box on top" or something could work, but I'd prefer to have better ideas than that!

2) Any idea what vehicle I should even use as a base? I was thinking a Taurox looks suitable because it's a truck, and I could probably convert it with one of my Acolytes popping out the top and crewing the guns (rather than gluing them to the side of the compartment) or something like that. But a Rhino is fairly ubiquitous and useful, and the Repressor is the actual Arbites tank - so I imagine it could work. Any ideas?

Maye a basilisk or one of the other open topped chimera chassis, then put a cage over the top with runes and purity seals.

Then comes along the frakking Spinosaurus who kills the T-rex, and the movie says "LOVE THIS NOW! HE IS BETTER" But...in your heart, you love the T-rex, who shouldn't have lost to no stupid Spinosaurus. So you hate the movie. And refuse to love the Spinosaurus because it is a hamfisted attempt at taking what you loved, making it TREX +++ and trying to sell you it.

A converted Goliath from GSC might work.

Taurox suits that role as is.

IMO, something like a Gorgon, a giant box on tracks that can hold the cannon fodder until they are dispensed into the enemy machine guns/minefield/whatever that needs to be cleared. Except instead of the troop bay have a giant cage, to make sure the cannon fodder can't escape before it is time to die.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

I like the Gorgon and Taurox ideas both.

I should look at the Goliath as well, perhaps...hmm... thanks everyone.

I like the taurox and prime ideas very much, and seem most fitting.
However, why not a landraider crusader? Possible option here...

I am already using an Inquisitorial Land Raider Prometheus as my Land Raider of choice, and bringing 2 seems, well, very un-Inquisitiony.

What I've got so far is: A Thunderbolt (which I am going to replace with a Marauder Destroyer, if anyone ever actually gets back to my thread in Swap Shop or on Bartertown), a Valkyrie full of Acolytes and Crusaders with a Priest, and 2 Inquisitors, a Chimera with an Ogryn Bodyguard, Officer of the Fleet, Astrotelepath, Priest w/ Eviscerator, 5 Acolytes with flamers, and an Interrogator (using the generic inquisitor rules), and an Inquisitorial Land Raider Prometheus with 6 Acolytes with Plasma Guns, a Jokaero, the Conclave's Inquisitor Lord, one more full Inquisitor, and one Interrogator.

I just wanted something else to mix & match with the existing stuff, and a prison-style transport would work. Taurox with Bars is fine, but a LRC isn't actually very mix&matchy given the Prometheus I already have.

Forge World should make that for Chaos, Imperial and Ork Armies - it would be a great model.

I've actually got one for a 30k army, but my issue with it is that it is so EXPENSIVE. The weaponless base chassis of a Valkyire is 5 points cheaper and it has 14 wounds and a higher toughness, compare to the Arvus's 8 and 6 respectively.

I will be honest, I'm not sure what niche it's supposed to fill on the table top other than a "story unit". I have an idea down the line to do an air-assault force. I'd originally thought to put command squads in the ... lander I can't find on FW's website (the one with that little dome on top), and the rest in those cramped, dirty looking lighters (with the better-off units in actual Valkyries or something). Fluffy, but not points efficient (which an air assault force without much armor is going to need). This is often the case with the FW models - great looking, cool concepts, hardly worth their points (looking at you Malcador!)

I would go with a Goliath. put a chair with straps on the rear deck akin to an electric chair, or some sort of torture chair like in Force Awakens. And you can flip the side gun 180 and have it point directly at the chair.

I second the taurox, the kit comes with side bars so that you can leave the roof off, you can use 3rd party wheel conversions to make it even better. The Goliath is a good truck, but not secure enough for a prison transport.

Look at FW Repressor. Replace gun ports with bars, keep the pintle mounted storm bolter. Easy zo convert from basic Rhino too!

Oh, looks like made out of the beginnings of a basilisk. This is what I'm talking about, largely.

Does it come with side bars instead of walls? I have never seen that! But yes, wheels are almost a must!

Yeah, the Repressor seems kick butt, too. Hmm...

I'd run it as a chimera. Up-armored, with inquisitorial icons and purity seals. Seal up the lasgun array and put sidebars on it for your acolytes to sit on and ride tank desant style.

Alternatively, if your inquisitor has some cash in pocket, maybe a heavily armored rhino built from a space marine stalker! Side doors sealed off by that big armored skirt and braces that keep it from tipping over if rammed. You keep the stalker roof part as a powered up transmitter, and either snip off the side 'arms' for the stalker's guns or mount flamethrower on them and count it as a repressor?
