looking to pick up some corrugated roofing and some diamond plate.
do you think HO or O scale would be more appropriate or is there another way to measure it and choose?

ill probably try plastruct and evergreen but can anyone recommend any other options?

HO is roughly 15mm scale - that's what I've used for a fair deal of 15mm wargames terrain. It means "Half O".

O scale is generally fine. Keep in mind the bases and whatnot will make doors seem smaller, windows lower, etc.

Another way would be to simply slide the landraider sideways like a big slowed hovercraft full of eels. -pismakron

This is one of those things that confuse a lot of people.

Not just the railway gauge thing.

"Diamondplate" isn't diamondplate everywhere. Worth noting because it's not just Americans who use this board.

Some places call it "treadplate", some call it checkerplate as diamondplate is a different kind of tread plating in some areas.

But for your needs, HO or O will both serve your needs (as the plate comes in a variety of different spacing sizes normally, anyway).

I found some diamond plate at hobby lobby next to the dollhouse stuff, it was out of place being white polystyrene. It was the same price as plastruct, but looked different, than normal styrene it was glossy and didnt snap when scored. Did the job though
