Subject: Americans: What magnets do you use for vehicles?

I looked over at the B&C Tutorial for magnetizing vehicles, but wasn't able to get a match for the 2mm x 1mm and 6mm x 2mm diameter magnets.
I managed to get 3mm x 1.5mm close enough with the 1/8" x 1/16".
Closest I found for the 2mm x 1mm was 1/16" x 1/32" - smaller in both dimensions.
Best match for the 6mm x 2mm was the 1/4" x 1/8", which is larger in both dimensions.
Now the size differences aren't huge, but does anyone with experience know if this will be just large enough to not fit (or in the case of the tiny ones, too small to hold)?
I found a place in the UK - Guy's Magnets - that has all the exact sizes AND strength (N52), but the ship-over time on that is probably 2+ weeks. A handful of other US vendors either didn't have the right sizes and/or didn't have the size in question in the right strength (N35 seemed most common - too weak, evidently).
Advice for those of us over in the States? Are these variances not enough to make a mess of it?
Thanks!
M.

I've done okay with the 1/8" x 1/16" magnets. I also use 1/16" x 1/16" ones for smaller things like Crisis Battlesuit weapons and some of the smaller weapon options on my Repulsor.
As for where to get them from, I highly recommend K & J Magnetics: http://www.kjmagnetics.com/categories.asp?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4fLTsLC_1wIVBEwNCh3veQwlEAAYASAAEgKEYfD_BwE

2nd all of this... K&J is the best, and if you're following the IG magnet tutorials on B&C, which are awesome, he uses super small magnets that my meathooks can barely hold... I've had no problem using 1/8" magnets instead.

Are those the only two sizes you've ended up using, Zerg? Gunzhard - you've used the 1/8" for even things like HK missiles and sponson weapons? My main concern was that I'd end up with stuff too large to fit on the small items and too weak to hold onto the larger ones! M.

I've definitely used some bigger than 1/8" magnets... don't remember size exactly and I'm not certain it was necessary, but I haven't used many smaller.
Def sponsons are fine at 1/8" and the HK the hull magnet size could still be, but you might want smaller for that skinny missile mount piece (I never used mine, though I should!).
If the piece is so small as to require really small magnets I just don't bother.
Make sure you order the highest strength ones too, that K&J website is very helpful.

Yeah, the N52 strength ones are suggested as best deal. Could find places selling all kinds of sizes but not the right strength!
I'll put in an order with KJ for some 1/8 and 1/16 sized ones - sounds like those are good. Closest I could get to the 6mm x 2mm is 1/4" x 1/8" so probably a few of those as well.
