Probably going to have to scratch build and paint it but I'm looking online for ready to play terrain big enough to block line of sight for the biggest models in 40k outside of titans. I'm talking Imperial Knights, Baneblades, Landraiders, Greater Daemons etc. Ruins are easy to find and are large but they're fill of holes and windows so there's a good chance you'll be shot down turn 1. Anyone know of any big, LOS blocking terrain out there? Whether it be big buildings, industrial buildings, Large rocks etc.

Much appreciated

Foamcore, balsa wood, white glue and paint.

The best LOS blockers from GW I think are the bunkers, but honestly, building some on the cheap is a great way to go.

Pet stores sometimes have nice decorative rocks, real or fake, for fish tanks and terrariums. We have some at the local shop and they're great.

What I think you might well be looking for is large pieces of cork bark to make big rocky outcrops or mesas. I picked up 2 kilos worth of the stuff on ebay for £6, but you may also have luck in some pet stores where they're sold as vivarium scenery or in model railway shops where they serve a very similar purpose as they do in this hobby.

I'm following a tutorial I found on youtube and they're a little labour intensive but they seem to be just what you're looking for, if you're interested i'll drop you the link

Hey mate yeah sounds like exactly what I need. I prefer terrain in which models can't go on top of, defeats the whole purpose so mesas and rocky outcrops are a good idea

Try that on for size

My own are unfortunately in no fit state to be shown to anyone. However using the techniques in the tutorial above you should be able to make as big a terrain piece as you need so long as your cork supply holds out

If you have access to a 3d printer, printablescenery.com has a bunch of modular terrain for cheap. You'd be able to print out a bunch of sections and be able to build some massive LOS blocking terrain.

We're gonna need another Timmy!

Other thing to keep in mind about terrain is you want to have some pieces with a good footprint. Walls and such are all well and good but you need something to make yourself and opponent maneuver
