I've been googling around but seem to only find examples of these being used on space marines. I was thinking of using the following two types on some Triarch Praetorians and Lychguard.

Firstly, fantastic idea. I don't have them myself but they will fit as well as a standard space marine helmet I would think. And would need some work to make fit. Off the top of my head I would imagine a bit big and bulky

From Endor to Hoth, Ripley to Spock, I'll get what you want but there's Gunna be a cost

Thanks, and yeah I'm surprised I can't find more examples of people doing this around the net.

I'd love to really do it to the extreme, but I doubt I'd carry it off over the whole army; so I figured the close combat warriors would fit plus it gives another detail to help tell the two kinds of close combat warriors apart.

I'd also like to make one of these

one day though considering its about 3 kits involved chances are its a long while off before I'd try

necron heads don't have necks on them. so you will need to remove the neck up to the base of the skull to fit onto the necron neck stump.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Thanks, that shouldn't be too tricky to remove, though considering the Praetorians et al appear to have more of a thicker raised ring of armour around them I'd be more concerned about the back of the heads and they might even benefit a little neck distance. (but I've not got the models so I'm going purely on photos)

Ah great find - they do seem to fit well! I can also see just about where I think they have indeed had the ball base removed to let them fit flush.

Dang, wish those were around years ago, when I was doing my Egyptian-themed Marine force!

They've got 6 head types in total - if anyone is interested in any others (and those are just the egytian ones there's a whole legion of others)

Nice! If I'm ever compelled to dust off my old Marines (which are totally somewhere...) those would make some nifty headswaps for sergeants and other leadership types.
