Question: What is a reputable US-based Bitz store?

I have found a lot of overseas examples, but only two (IIRC) in the US. Unfortunately basically everything I'm after is out of stock.

Is there a good go-to?

I believe Hordes o Bitz is the main US based dealer. Also, I'm not sure about your lfgs but one of them here has a massive bitz collection.

http://stores.ebay.com/bitsworld/ is another one.

I have had good luck with hoard O Bitz (others have had customer service issues, I haven't) Also, Blackdagger games http://stores.ebay.com/Blackdagger-Games?_rdc=1
Or one called Imperial Bitz (limited obviously)
Stock supplies so no clue about finding rare stuff

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.

Blackdagger Games and Hobby Titan (bits world) are both great.

Hoard O Bitz has a huge selection and good prices, but I have had horrific customer service relations with them in the past. I have since used them with no issues, but if you do have a problem with your order you're out of luck.

Problems as in not getting what you paid for?

Their selection isn't bad from what I can see - still combing through.

Yeah, one of my orders through their eBay store had a bunch of broken and missing parts. When I brought it up he blocked me, so I had to go through eBay to get a refund, and even then the packages sat unclaimed at the post office for weeks so that they technically were never returned and thus a refund didn't need to be issued. I finally got a refund but it was a huge pain. However, against my better judgment, I have since ordered several times from their web store and had perfect orders.

I checked every site listed so far and came up with zero chainaxe arms. :C

I can get every berzerker piece except for the chainaxe, apparently...

Try the cataphractii terminator Power Axe set from Forgeworld - they're claimed to be power axes, but they look a whole lot more like big chainaxes.

+1 on Hoard having the worst (non-existent) customer service if anything goes wrong. As in they completely ignore all communications, forcing you to file a dispute with ebay. And then, finally, all those weeks later you get to see them throw a hissy fit. Absurd.

Blackdagger has been fine for me so far. There are other people selling a lot of bits on ebay as well, just can't remember their names off the top of my head. Bitsworld might be US based, can't remember.

Once you find one of the bits you are interested in on ebay click on that user's name and then their store, and search within their ebay store for anything else you may need. Sometimes that works great for me, where I only have to buy through 1 or 2 ebay sellers to get everything I need at the time.

Horde O Bits is always out when I'm looking for anything specific. About half of their stock was out last time I checked.

I second the experience with bad customer service with them - emailed to ask about a part size and It was ignored.

However, I wouldn't order anything from overseas. The only time I've done that was for a SM dreadnought weapon and I got a malformed cheapo-plastic version of one. It was that crappy cheap plastic that melts in low temperatures - like in your car or during shipping..

Does Hoard combine orders? Or will I be paying shipping for each and every cluster of bitz I order?

If you order all at once they'll combine. I think it's 50¢ for the second item then 10¢ for the third and on.

Yeah they do. You just pay one shipping which is like $3.95 or whaterver, then everything else in the cart will show as FREE shipping. So go nuts. I have used the recently 3x, Nid bits for some conversions that i order twice, and space marine stuff that came in. They are quick on shipping, usually in about 2-3 days. Havent had a reason to email or contact them so I can speak on the customer service part. They are out of stock, i click the email me when this comes in button on things I want. It does work, i got an email last week on an item.

Blackdagger and Windowbox on ebay are the other 2 I use, but i find they have higher prices and/or less to choose from. (these have the .25 per additional in shipping) which can really add up.
