Hi all,

I'm really struggling to find the right items so was hoping someone would know. In short, I'm looking for some various industrial basing supplies, specifically thinks like metal barrels, lamp posts etc. I'm building up my tyranids and mostly they are simple rocks and gravel, but for the larger ones I want to have something like a barrel in a pool of toxic mess etc.

Also if anyone knows where I could get Tyranid-esque type stuff that would also be great. Spawning pool etc.

Why not the imperial sector detail kit


it has half buried barrels and boxes and stuff.

Nid stuff is going to be harder. might be easier to sculpt that out of putty.

though they used to use lotus seed pods for their birthing pod thing.

Thanks. I was hoping for just the barrels and posts in honesty. The rest is mainly just gonna be cork and sand. There's definitely done interesting options there for the flying tyrant I'm due to build though

You can get them cheaper than £5 as well.

There are a few places that do resin barrels. One barrel can be split onto 2 bases if you cut carefully.

Also search for 28mm scale alien terrain and you should find a few examples of gribbley things to put on bases. Spawning pools you can orobably do yiurself with some GS and some water effect.

Once in the plumbing supplies area of my local DIY I found a bunch of "connectors" in copper that came in various sizes and had rings around them. They made decent barrels, but what their real name is I have no idea.
if you look at the upper right of this image, that is basically what I found.
