Fun game. Managed to get my Warlord into the side of another. Reaver took the firepower and detonated. I responded and unloaded 18 Gatling Blaster Rounds and 4 Overcharged Plasma Annihilator Rounds into it. It didn't last.
I lost the Knight Fight on other flank however. Three Cerastus Knights tearing through my Questoris and Cerastus Knigths while 3 sneaked round into his deployment zone. Acastus Knights faced each other on hills and duelled it out.

Sisters vs IG. Opponent is old fashioned style so simple roll for deployment map, 3 cards per turn. Got screwed on deployment type(the 1st one, go longways with triangle shaped) so I had loooooooong march to IG lines. Being valorous heart I pretty much laughed off battle cannons and earthshaker cannons though my 30 arco flagelants and 8 repentia were less amused by those. Punisher was also giving hell to me.
Struggled to score anything(not helped that I didn't realize I could sacrifice incensor cherub's to generate MD's enough to get "generate 3 MD" with ease...drat) at the first 2 turns. Dislodging ob sec warglaive that can't fail 4++ and your anti tank on opposite side of board mostly hurts. Last turns started to score especially with celestine taking out astropath(witch hunter) and harken(slay the warlord) all by herself.
7-8 in the end. Not too bad seeing first 2 turns I barely could even reach anything!
Fantastic i always love seeing BFG. still my favorite GW game.

I went back to game with my old group this past weekend to refight the Battle of Gloucester, 1777.
The British were led by Lord Cornwallis, who was planning to use barges along the Delaware River to move his foraging troops back to Pennsylvania.
The Marquis de Lafayette, sensing an opportunity, decided to turn his reconnaissance into a full on attack. He led the American force of militia and riflemen against the Hessian jaegers that had been used as pickets and rearguard of the foraging column.
Ultimately, the game followed history. As the sun set, the British had to delay their movement across the Delaware until the next couple days. Lafayette led his men off after a rousing success, especially after watching the Continental light horse scatter a group of Hessian jaegers against the banks of the river.

Played a couple of Astorum vs. Favilla battles yesterday, my Ashen Gods crushed the opposing Warp Runners handily but MY GOSH the second game upped the brutality as the deep upfield deployment, chokepoint canyon with a refused flank tactic from the Runners and both sides having a breakthrough mission coincided to absolutely crash together.
When we finally reached turn three, there were three dead Hounds, a Reaver and a Warlord in the canyon, all burning wrecks tangled together as a mass of tortured metal. Full report in the blog

40K at 500 points.....forgot to take a picture of the battle but it was against khorne berserkers with kharn in rhinos.

This may be shocking...but more dungeon crawls. I know this is getting old, but I'm in the midst of playtesting for rules development, so 90% of the stuff I'm doing is related to the dungeon crawl.
Dungeon 1:
Our party preparing to slay some Lizardmen:
We accidentally freed a chained up giant...assuming he'd be on our side. Instead he chased a Goblin King who was chasing our Wizard...and then our Wizard was ambushed by spiders...so...
Dungeon 2:
The last three of our five-character party...they prepare to run through the last room and up the staircase to the exit:
The Wizard is again last and falls flat on her face and is then consumed by zombies...at least the other two made it out alive.
2500 pt game of Slaves to Darkness (me) vs. Kharadron Overlords. Not sure if the KO player wanted 2500 points to put more stuff on the table or have more shooting available to focus fire on his opponent's units. Probably the former with the benefit of the latter. Playing S2D vs. a shooty army is incredibly annoying as you just have to weather attacks all game long. As for S2D vs. KO, my S2D army does fine with static objectives, but if the objectives start moving or are unknown KO seems to do much better.
Last game of Mordheim last Friday ended in a brawl in the Stoic Arms. After that pic I killed two of my opponent Middenheimers and in return he took my assassin and necromancer out of action. Luckily he than failed his rout test, otherwise it could have gotten real nasty for my Undead.
Hey elbows love that dwarven forge terrain. i had some but it got stolen :(

Sisters vs tau. My 3 games withpure sisters have been tau(solid win), IG(narrow loss) and now tau(17-17 draw). What's up with these gunlines I face now? Not this big gunline meta usually...
Could have won 17-15 but stupidly with celestine on last turn went to try to kill broadsides for secure objective for 1 vp that I even failed rather than try to kill cold star commander with 1 wound left preventing linebreaker and behind the enemy lines(2vp). Super unlikely I fail that one but nope. Went for worse option...I blame time. Was in a hurry to catch last train.
