Can you grow over world crops n the neather? I need it for my brewery to be convenient (melons for health potions)

You need water for crops, and you can't get water in the nether. Unless you got ice in there, which I think you can still do with silk touch.

Don't think you need water it just speeds it up a lot

Also you cannot silk-touch Ice anymore.

Hey minecrafters, my inventory has disappeared. Everything that wasn't in a chest has magically vanished. Anyone know what has happened?

Are you talking about your singleplayer game? Could be a corrupted or deleted inventory file.

To whoever built a cobble walkway off of my path in the nether (between my house & 0,0 portal), could you please remove it or repair it? There are stone bricks and glass panes in the chest just past my portal (in the Nether) that you are free to use. Please try to stay to either my scheme or Absolutionists.

I can supply more materials if you need them.

Corpse mind if I add a blocks under my portal? When I go through it I fall into the tunnel then rubber band back and forth for a while.

I can't get on minecraft at the moment due to my graphics card failing hugely (same reason I can't play skyrim) so can you check if it is the tunnel itself under the portal?

The tunnel is 2 wide and 2 high and can't really be filled in, any gaps around that can be.

The file is the level.dat file in:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves\worldname\ (windows)
/Users/username/Library/Application Support/.minecraft/saves/worldname/ (mac)

If you have backups of this file, that's the best way to get it back. Otherwise, you could use something like INVEdit to put your items back (quit Minecraft first):

Is the tunnel itself. I guess I'll just put up with it.

Perhaps move your portal one block across so it isn't over the tunnel? you do have a 8 radius area in which the portal will link 100% accurately in.

Wool farm is starting to take shape! Colored-wool production will soon begin!

Remember, it's more efficient to dye the sheep before shearing than it is to dye the wool. This is important with all the blue-derived dyes, since Lapis is non-renewable.

And this is where my genius kicks in (yes, I'm totally crazy)! I only need 2 units of any dye to obtain a potentially infinite supply for this dye. All this thanks to notch and his animal reproduction system!

The first genetically modified lamb of my farm was born today. It is a perfectly healthy purple lamb (haven't found a name yet).

I suggest making 2-thick walls of fence. Sheep can share the same block as a fence on one side. When the chunk reloads, the sheep may erroneously be spawned on the other side of the fence block.

I learned this from trying to keep these idiotic NPC Villagers in their containment camp.

Or use solid walls.

Indeed some sheep escape from the farm. But capturing them back is not a big issue. And the reproduction rate among sheep is so great that I can afford a few losses.

So animals don't despawn anymore when no one is around? If you build a fence (or two layers of fence) then they'll always be there when you come back?

Also, I found the minecraft wiki changelog, which details all of the changes, but it does so only in simple sentences, is there any deeper description of some of the more recent changes to the game?
