Blood Axe getting - 1 to hit? From their purposely bad Camouflage patterns? Please Gork no. An Outflanking deployment and No Overwatch seems better fitting.
Made in us
Oozing Plague Marine Terminator

Death Skulls I would like to see some exploding hits on 6s or exploding damage on 6s to wound to represent their better luck. Goff, just a simple +1 to Str. Bad Moons add 1 to shots of shooting weapons (for assault 3 shootaz, assault 2 got blastaz), blood axe outflanking and prevent Overwatch. Evil Suns 2d6 pick highest for advances. Snake bites... I want something a bit more clever than a 6+fnp.

The WD Preview doesent have a hint of Ork in it IIRC.

August/Sept maybe... But definitely not this Month,

GSC is definitely AFTER Orks and SW. From the Warhammer-Community site June 1st
https://www.warhammer-community.com/2018/06/01/codexes-kings-cawdors-and-more/

With Codex: Imperial Knights available to pre-order this weekend, it’s high time we revealed just what’s coming next…

These codexes are two of the most requested, but rest assured, the wait will be worth it – both the Orks and Space Wolves codexes will be absolutely packed with new content for your games. If you’ve been looking on enviously as other factions get their time in the sun, your patience will soon be rewarded.

The keen-eyed among you will note that this only leaves a single xenos faction still lurking in the shadows… Well, good news – there’s something crawling down the pipe for the forces of the Genestealer Cults too – and he has three arms, three eyes, one and a half heads… and a stop sign."

The Nobz kit.

Well, if Orkz are expected to get 32mm treatment, their kits would have to be recalled. I'm surprised it wasn't done earlier.

Iirc the deffguns and burnaz are on two different sprues, so this is most likely just the relevant Burnaz sprues, plus the mek sprue. No Lootaz parts.

You can see on this awesome handy sub-forum I never noticed before.

Kill team focus up. Boyz, grotz, burnaz, lootaz, and kommandos.

No mention of Nobz mobs which I was hoping for.

Gotta say, to make up for lack of Ork rumors, I've been diving head first nto an Ork Killteam instead. I recently made up an Ork Kommisar model with the capped head from the Ork Flyer model, and now it's fitting for him to lead Gretchen in a Killteam.

I also happen to have 20 Ork Boyz on 32mm bases that were shipped to me accidentally from an eBay order. We boyz is ready to Waaagh.

Any reboxing is likely just to put the new 32mm bases inside. Currently everything is either 25mm or 40mm.

I'll probably begin hoarding adapters real soon.

Naah let them be. Unless you up your board size it means already overcrowded boards become even more crowded removing even more semblance of manouvers

Im already preparing my Ork Killteam on 32mm bases, and I'm just getting myself ready for the eventuality. If I'm specifically not change g bases for my own advantage, I'm modeling for advantage. I just can't abide by that. I'm an honest Ork

Gah, Ive been antsy to see some Clan Rules already. I've just been painting up 120 Orks the last few weeks. Right now they look like Goffs, since I've left sections unpainted to add in Clan colors later.

I'm tempted to begin painting Death Skulls blue plates and warpaint, with another 60 orkz painted Bad Moons yellow and gold but I'm trying to hold out till the codex reveals... It drives my OCD insane because I like to properly plan out color schemes and variations.

No runtherd in the KT gretchin unit, but you can have a grot leader?

EDIT: also boyz boss nob can have a kombi weapon and choppa / PK / BC but not a (kustom) shoota and a melee weapon?

I'd say this is a problem with bitz in the kits. Right now the only Nobz with kustom Shootaz are metal. Kombi shootaz are in the Nobz sprue, but not the simple twin shoota variant. Overpriced anyway. Orks pay more for a Storm bolter?

Id be down for 4 point PKs (though they are 13 now which is much better than 25 in the index)

Nobs and lootas point reductions are great as well. With the nob 5pt reduction and their weapons reductions they could be a very viable unit in the codex if it holds there (and MANZ potentially)

Now if only I could see the vehicle costs...

I dont know much about KT, but is it possible there points are much lower here because of the smaller scale of battles? Do the points in KT for codex armies line up with the codex points?

Wargear is alot cheaper for every faction. I doubt SM will be getting 2 pt plasma pistols and 4 pt melta guns

So it doesn't seem like Killteam kommandos can take burnaz or Big Shootaz. Not a big deal for Killteam, I'll just take a regular Burna Boy but I certainly hope that's not the case for Codex Orkz considering I do have the proper metal Kommando with Burna model.

Oozing Plague Marine Terminator

Hmmm. If my Kommando Nob cant take a Big Choppa... Guess Ill have to take another Grot instead.

So far I have a Kommando Nob, 8 Kommandos, Burna boy, and 4 Gretchin. 'EERE WE GO!

I do have a PK Kommando Nob too though... Maybe for a Campaign game.

Okay, i will admit. I have had about 5 confirmed reports that the majority of ork stock went on last chance and sent back.

However, I doubt this will be for only online... if the entire ork range went online only that would kill off orks...

Yea, rather than panic and go to that extreme, isn't it FAR more likely to believe we are getting repackaged with 32mm bases?

It's happening.

I would be distressed and mad.... But I still have about 150 Orkz to paint.... So, august September sounds good.

In the meantime I'll consider any games up until then to be mere practices with moving Hordes on the table.

It's just my luck that the first game I have with Orkz in over a year is going to be against Deathwatch! I just hope that numbering 6 to 1 will be a help

Hmm, well, that kinda steps on Kommandos toes so it seems strange that you'd be able to Infiltrate regular boyz even for a Blood Axe army.

And gee, Orks being OP. Yea, let's stop the presses literally.
Made in us
Oozing Plague Marine Terminator

So when an Impeeial unit is deemed OP, the usual response is "Just wait for an FAQ/Chapter Approved.

Also, Infiltrating a whole army is already GSC territory m, but they're a new army with new kits so they're gonna get the best rules.

I just played against a DW army, where a single aggressor in with Intercessors ripped through 30 boyz per turn, and he only brought 2! Then when I'm finally in range to charge, he pops the Stratagem to completely neuter the charge. My opponent felt so bad, he let me bring units back on the board. People keep saying Orks can't deal with knights, but a 30 pt Aggressor is more than enough trouble for us.

Edit: just discovered my opponent was playing autostorm gauntlets wrong, giving then 24 shots when stationary.

It will become an urban legend shared amongst the Skar-boyz and the Yoofs. Da Greatest Kodex (almost) eva written by Gork (or possibly Mork) 'Imself! A book so powerful, forces from outside the known universe had to alter history completely in ways only an Eldar can dream of!

Beings known as "The Testers". And they scared of the Orkzes. They know we will crump Da Universe flat!

You know what I would really like to see?

Orks get the Made to Order treatment for somne of the metal Grots from Gorkamorka! I would totally buy in on some AK wielding gretchin.

I just bought 4 different shades of blue paint, so I'm hoping the Death Skulls are worth running.

Playing my Orkz yesterday (vs Orks too), I thought a pretty good (maybe cheesy) stratagem would be to let an entire Ork unit make a Heroic Intervention, when a friendly unit gets charged as the Ork boyz just wanna get into a fight.

It would be a foil to the T'au and their annoying overwatch, and seems damn fluffy.
Made in us
Oozing Plague Marine Terminator

Hmm. So my Bad Moon Shoota boyz might be better off as Evil Suns. My Death Skulls Lootaz might be better off as Bad Moons. My Goff Boyz could go either way.

I already have Blood Axe Kommandos from Killteam, so maybe some blood axe Gretchin to fill out a Battalion? Those lil runs would sure be sneaky.

Ive been avoiding painting camouflage patterns on models, so my Kommandos are in modern military colors instead. I could go army wide with that theme.

I don't think a Runtherd is needed really, maybe 1 but I can't see more than that. Remember those grots would be well ahead of your army could be CP'd fearless(One unit.) and work with the Green tide rule for LD.

Just as a funny side thought, jumping 30 Boys.. no no...40 boys!

Gorts is folly though, as far as I see it. they will be shot up then charged and then who know what. They are good but also a super soft unit. I think 60 is my limit even though I have 120 or more. too many models!

Well, Gretchin don't have Mob Rule and can't benefit according to the FAQ.

I like to Jump Shooty units in as well. Had 30 Gretchin jump in front (well behind) a warboss, shoot Dakka Dakka, charge, and still only caused 2 wounds. Still kept him in CC long enough for real bruises to arrive.

Love the grotz.

The very first errata on the Index Xenos 2 FAQ. They changed the Mob rule wording to only affect other Mob Rule mobs. After all, you can't be motivated by some puny Grotz can ya?!

As an Ork player that has Shelved my army for 3 editions now... I feel the pain here, but.... You all do realize there are OTHER armies out there that do shooting proper right?

Im forced into using a 30 boyz Shoota mob because 130 Slugga Boyz just isn't enough and I only have 30 more Shoota boyz in my collection, but I don't expect them to do much realistically.

I'll use Da Jump on them if a target presents itself, but mostly back field them, or use as a Mob Rule bump.

People who expect Orkz to shoot should just go play Guard and get it over with.

Ard Boyz! Woo! I have 30 of em with metal Gobs and plates. Those babies definitely need 32mm bases. They do a turtle roll right on their backs as they are now on 25mm. A 5+ aint that good but I MUST DO IT!
