Just a bit of fun and rampant speculation / wishlisting;

The cynic in me thinks the "biggest open day ever" will yield only minor releases amid the rumours of Emperors children, Abaddon, Primarchs, campaign books etc


But what do you guys think we'll see?

Let’s take a shot from left field. Militarum Tempestus supplement to the Astra Militarum codex.

Well, the Vigilus Teaser trailer from the other week mentioned Imperial reinforcements.

I'm expecting the Shields to collapse, letting the Orks in to play in terms of narrative. Possibly Necrons arriving.

But as to the Imperial Reinforcements? Seems much too early for Sisters of Battle, so I honestly haven't a clue. Unless it's some shiny new Primaris toys, which we may have seen in the Rumour Engine?

A new primaris lieutenant!!!!

Apart from that, i expect some primaris news - may be a campaign or supplement. And a new sisters preview.

I think Abaddon and new Chaos Space Marines.

For the Imperium I would like bigger straight SM (it is a hope wasted). Probably some new Primaris and an advance of Sisters.

Maybe the plastic Thunderhawk?

Reminds me of the Dawn of War expansion pitting 7 factions against each other. Whilst fun it was hardly legitimate nor believable.

I wish they had set it in the Vigilus system rather than a lone planet.

It's on the only stable route through the Cockatrice Malleable though. So everyone does have an interest in it?

Not really that different from Cadia.

Yeah but Cadia didnt have Orks, GSC, Eldar and whatever big release is coming fighting over it.....

Also Orks dont care about stable warp routes, they happily go for the ride, Crons have FTL so why might they be there? and GSC. Well dunno about them at all.

The format will be like this: lots of 'small' reveals for things being released this year (single plastic sister; chapter approved details; possibly GSC codex) along with specialist games updates.

And then a major reveal for something a couple of months out, for Q1 next year. Which I think will be Emperors Children + Primaris wave 2.

I think the Abaddon rumours were all based on that fine top-knotted gentleman from Blackstone. Would happily be proved wrong though!

I'm betting on an outpouring of pure salt immediately after every reveal! I guarantee it in fact! Gods bless Dakka...

A Beta Codex for Sisters of Battle is supposed to be in Chapter Approved 2018. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch for GW to maybe release a new box set of Sisters. /shrug

My bet is probably another Primaris Lieutenant. GW just loves the Primaris Lieutenants.

That was the saltiest thing I've ever eaten, and I once ate a heaping bowl of salt.

Some people are speculating that the Spears of the Emperor will make an appearance on Vigilus, since they are supposedly getting their own Chapter Tactics in the bundle with their new book.

their chapter trait got butchered with wound save nerf and is pointless now, and some IH spesific dreads would allso be nice.

Well, the event page on Warhammer World doesn't give anything away.

I don't have high expectations, so I guess I can't be disappointed. I'd be looking at:

- More information about CA2018, possibly including whether the SoB list includes new units
- Linked to that, some more SoB design preview images
- Possibly the announcement of the GSC Codex
- Some new FW Necromunda models, maybe?

...and that's all I'm expecting.

I am going to buck the trend here and say that it will involve something Drukhari. Mostly because I remember a Vigilus post displaying a Drukhari jetfighter yet we've seen nothing Drukhari related in the last few Vigilus boxes. Plus I want those plastic Grots.

Now, on a more serious conspiracy note. Maybe we will see CSM, Renegade AM, AND some Drukhari stuff, but I am mostly basing it off the fact that BSF contains new models for all those factions.

The Iron Hands are name dropped as being present, but then again, they’re the Iron Hands and are the unloved child of the first founding.

Safest bets (I think) are:
- That one sisters model to be released with CA
- New Primaris
- Genecults models + codex reveal

Rampant wishlisting:
- Admech vehicle/HQ
- New Guard
- Diagonal terrain floors?
- Kroot

Talons of the Emperor book for 40k.

That is all in hoping.

A sad lack of chaos cultists and other renegades, despite the offhand mention in the Vigilus summary.

Another update on the sisters of battle progress is guaranteed. I'd love to see an updated csm kit but it we'll probably get another primaris lieutenant.
