This has been a pretty common type of thread on other WH40k, AoS, or Hobby-centric forums, so I figured I'd start one up here!

Here's the gist of it:

Beginning of the Month:

Make a pledge post to paint, build, or hobby a project of your choice

Optionally, you can choose to select some sort of punishment or reward for not finishing (Won't open a new box of models unless I finish, donate $X to my local gaming club, start a new faction if ___ goal is met, etc.)

By last day of the Month:

Take a picture of your project as it stands, quote or link to your original post, and whether or not you completed your monthly pledge

I'll keep a list of names of people who make a pledge during the first week of each month, and update a sort of "high score" chart for those participating as we move along the year.

Feel free to make your pledge and reward/punishment as challenging or relaxing as you like, the end goal here is to motivate us all to keep hobbying, and hold each other accountable.

I'm coming in hot with a January pledge to paint one Basilisk.

Punishment for failure - no female Arcadian bitz from Victoria Minis until it's done.

As she currently stands;

I want to have my Kill Team: Lost Patrol project done before the end of February. It shouldn't be too bad as I have already made quite the dent in it already:





The project consists of 15 Scout models, 12 Genestealers and 5 Termagants for the units. As for terrain, it is the Killzone: Death World set as well as a few pieces from the Dark Eldar Kill Team Starter plus the little Lost Patrol bits, some resin craters and other random scatter terrain. Most of the scouts(Raptor Chapter) are pretty much done at this point. The Tyranids are being painted in a Hive Fleet Jormungandr that I am still working out exactly how I am going to go about it. Obviously, I won't need all of the models to make a full kill team for either the Raptors or Hive Fleet Jorgmungandr but I don't want both teams done.

Most of the terrain has an initial base coat and will largely be a dark palette with a bit of color. The bottom photo actually makes it look brighter than it is. The photos don't feature all of my Death Forest terrain as I haven't built all of it. I figure I have more than enough to paint right now, I don't need to worry about building it all.
