And I'm glad they put in Queensland rather than the two most populous cities in the country.

Curious to see if it's actually a physical change to the store, or just rebranding and adding exclusive models... I suspect it will be the latter.

But yes, it's a little odd that they would make Mount Gravatt their 'flagship' store, rather than a Melbourne or Sydney location. I wonder if it's just because Mt Gravatt has more gaming space.

(still sad about that...again, when we can order from overseas, pay outrageous shipping charges, still pay the entry GST, and continue to save over 30% off of GW prices here, there's something seriously wrong with Australian GW prices!)

No, that's due to a sales contract policy that's been in place for a while now. Stores are forbidden from selling outside their own geographical regions, because for all their progress in recent years, GW still don't understand the internet. This resulted in most sellers stopping international sales, and a few smart ones just stopping international sales through their webstores and making up for the difference through eBay.

And some just doing what they want to do on the sly.

That's interesting - the one in question still ships to 20+ countries, it's just removed Australia from that list.

Are those 20 countries all in Europe?

So H.B.M.C., where do you get your "less than GW retail" plastic from? Or do you always order in such large quantities that you get great discounts?

Local places that often good discounts, or places on eBay offering strange discounts (combined with eBay discount codes, which are easy to find on listing sites), or, more recently, people on Facebook selling things for stupid prices because they're second hand and out of the box (but unbuilt and on the sprue).

That last one I'll never figure out, but hey, I got a bunch of Sector Mechanicus stuff for about 55%-60% off because of someone on Facebook not long ago.
