So soon we'll have this new boxed set of Primaris vs Black Legion. Shadowspear is it?
Presumably shortly after there'll be a more substantial release of CSM with Abby getting his new look, what look to be new devastators, Terminators etc - pretty much a new CSM line.
We know Sisters are on the way and it looks like they'll follow towards the end of the year.
The question I put to you, dakka frequenters, is what else (if anything) do you think we'll see? And what would you like to see?
I think there'll be another update to Primaris like what CSM are due. GW can't leave the Imperium too long without new space marines of some sort. Possibly the 'primarisifation' of other SM factions biggest heroes and maybe even another Primarch. Likely a Slaanesh updated Keeper of Secrets cross over with AOS. Other than that I doubt there'll be much of anything apart from the odd random Blackstone Fortress or Kill Team release.
Unfortunately for me I have little to no interest in any of the above so it looks like I'll be hitting the snooze button on 40k news for a while.
What I'd like to see is more equally shared resources. A release for every faction shouldn't be outside the realms of possibility. Personally I'd like for the older Ork sculpts to be updated, as with the old sculpts of other lines.
What do you all think?

If it wasn't for the black legion/general CSM release I'd have put them quite likely. Possible end of year maybe? My friend is itching to start an EC force, though I think much of the generic CSM models will serve him for now.

In the same vein I'd love to see a sort of "Xenos cornucopia" book full of Tau allies (plus expanding the Kroot too) and other associated Xeno mercs like Tarellians that can't fit in a whole codex. Tau need to bring back their "united republic" aspect of their faction that seems to have been given a backseat to giant battlesuits all the time.

I'd like to see a more substantial Slaanesh release. But so far this year has been boring me to tears, haven't spent a dime. The CSM looks okay, but I don't think we've seen that whole thing yet. SoB were the main thing I was looking forward to this year and it's looking like the arse end of the year for them.

It'll be a year of redoing Space Marines into Primaris and updating the Chaos line, which they will double up as AOS updates such as Slaneesh where possible.
It'll be the year when Xenos players will see nothing, and soup will only get bigger

They did say that this year another faction beyond Sisters will get an Codex.
if we discard the needed CSM update as not the other Codex, we know from recent trends that Cult legions basically will become a thing in the soon future.
We also have seen alot of wierd releases f.e. The blackstone Traitor guardsmen, beastmen, and psykers, aswell as Negavolt cultists.
I'd imagine that either we get a really old faction or a completely new one.
I'd say they will be trying to impolement a Lost and the damned Codex aswell, or another Xeno race?
Maybee we will see a whole minor race for Tau auxillia?
’m still expecting something along the lines of Imperial Agents.
Rogue Traders. Inquisitors etc. All the odds and sods we don’t presently have full armies for.
This is also rather likely.
I fully expect that they will form the BSF and the rogue trader factions into a codex at some point and or bring them into a codex in a less restricted way.

I'm desperately hoping EC get rules. Please GW, this would be the coolest thing ever. My number one wish and hope is for EC.
If they do, I expect World Eaters will either be shortly after, or preceding their release, but they might not both make this year.
Assassins got their white dwarf "codex", I had strong predictions for that to happen and now it's done. There's probably an official Sisters of Battle codex in the works? Maybe? Some inquisition stuff too maybe?
I question whether or not Renegades and Heretics will get any sort of rules... I feel like there is absolutely zero hype for that, and FW doesn't even sell their models anymore...
I expect to see more Vigilus/campaign style updates, as well as additions that we've been seeing to get 40k rules like the Rogue Traders, BSF, Ambull's, etc, spaced out over the year. The boxed set model additions have been fairly consistently underwhelming in 40k rules, but I guess that's probably intentional. The Vigilus updates have been awesome and been a great way to add some flavor and identity to existing factions that people DO care about, so I really hope they keep the ball rolling with this one (as I'm sure they will). Would love to see some subfactions who currently lack in some of the flavor of the lore, recieve apt campaign detachments, e.g. Alpha Legion or Raven Guard, especially after their recent, casual-appeasing nerfs.

I hope that in in 2019 GW is going to make a new GK codex, they don't even have to give them new models, even if psychic primaris would be nice. Just update the rules with new relics and stratagems and slash the cost of everything not point droped in last CA by 15%. they don't even have to put out a new book, an article in a WD would be enough and people can count how much is 15% by themselfs.

Given the changed state of the Galaxy, if we get a bit of a leap timeline wise, I can see Xenos races playing a role. Simply put, The Imperium is committed on all fronts, so has less time and resources for Xenocide. That could provide some species with the breathing space to get out there.

I doubt sisters will release this year for some reason, concept work and 3D models we have seen so far seem to say to me 'ok guys and gals we are working on them but please be patient'. I think a Q1 or Q2 2020 release would be more realistic as the Vigilus story arc develops.
Once the Shadowspear and CSM release is over with I think we will see quite a bit of AoS and additional expansions for Kill Team and BSF.
Possibly a Q4 release for EC.
My best guess but could be wildly off the mark.

If they redo CSM and Sororitas Eldar aspect warriors might be the most outdated models in the game and they also have quite a lot of failast minis still. I could see them getting some small update, maybe in a box against Slaanesh Daemons/ Emperor's Children.

I suspect this also. Inquisition definitely needs some love, and that new crusader model in the boxed game that got previewed also gives me hope for an Agents codex.
I don’t know why, but I just have a feeling we’ll get a substantial Xenos release of some sort this year also. I could see Eldar getting some plastic kit love, and it seems like Tyranids haven’t seen anything in some time. Necrons and Tau could use some more variety as well.

We have just had GSC and Sisters is coming later in the year. This basically leaves very few options leftover from the Indexes. At some point, GW will have to address Ynnari. They sort of advanced the Eldar timeline and then held back in the Craftworld codex. It might be a case of not knowing what they want to do with them overall, but they have an opportunity to revamp some very old minis. Outside of Sisters, Ynnari is the faction I would want to see fleshed out and brought into line.

I would think GW is kind of obliged to push forward with the Primaris line with some haste. Having the beginnings of the Primaris line alongside OldMarines has to be depressing sales of OldMarines, because players can see the Primaris line is the writing on the wall for OldMarines, but the Primaris line is not yet adequate to field as a standalone force with any degree of competitive adequacy, which would tend to depress sales of Primaris Marines. GW needs to get the full Primaris range up and running so SM players can be confident in what they are buying for their armies. I certainly don't want to make any kind of significant investment in SMs at the moment.
