GW has been scraping the bottom the nostalgia bin for a while now. We are seeing weird background-only characters getting models like the Ambull. With that in mind, if you could decide the next box set of something random, what would it be? (within reason now)

For me, I'd like to see a 5-man box set of Thunder Warriors in Mk1 Thunder Armor. Basically Primaris in size, but in REALLY old power armor. 4-monopose bolter, pistol, and CCW guys, and a Sergeant with a couple options. Nothing too fancy.

I would be excited for thunder warriors, but not for 40k. If they did a self contained boxed/board game that has a very specific setting in the oldest of times then maybe. But other than that seeing more alien stuff for tau like the demiurg would be cool. As far as the HH stuff goes i'd like plastic mk II armor.

Enslavers might be nice. Not as a full faction mind, but as something environmental and neutral, like the Ambull. Something about the idea of creatures that originate in the Empyrean but aren't necessarily related to the forces of Chaos really appeals to me.

Agreed. One might work well in something like Necromunda. Maybe they aren't necessarily the same Thunder Warriors that the Emperor created thousands of years ago. Maybe they are some Necromundan's attempt at trying to create his own home cooked Space Marines.

But the Enslavers are the origin of Chaos.

They had a small force way back, with tentacled, floating Enslavers, and their puppetted psykers, and those they mind controlled.

They would be INSANELY powerful in the psychic phase, probably so so in shooting and minimal in the fight phase.

i would like to see more tempestus units when they do agents of the imperium, and id like to see the land raider excel and rhino primaris get a major rules overhaul their 775 points for christ fething emperors holy sake. that cost is maddness, thats nearly 800 points of tank for TWO MODELS that are only marginally better then two non 325 dollar model kit units that costs something like 375p to field togeather. in fact 375p for the pair (and make it a pair again individual splitting is just silly youd never not take them both) is a totally fair cost. and maybe work on their baselines and rules to make them more in line with modern unit abilities and command abilities.

DA army: 3500pts,
admech army: 600pts
ravenguard: 565 pts

IDK if it allready exists cuz i dont follow chaos at all, but a codex and a model range for noise marines based on the visual style of that one stand alone model released in december would deffo turn me to chaos!

I would much rather GW stopped doing these random, ‘barrel scraping nostalgia pieces’ and instead focused on updating the old models that are key to factions. Im getting a bit sick of the random, obscure releases. Hopefully Abby is the start of that update for all factions. I think almost every faction has a few hero models or even non character models that are old as the hills.

hmmm box set, fit the fluff and maybe nestalgia

introduction of tau human helpers. box set includes human ally codex for the tau and codex arbetes as they try to put down the tau takeover.

we get 2 new mini forces and then hopefully the arbites get absorbed into a new agents of the imperium codex with assassins, inquisitors, sisters of silence (though they should have been in custodes). and tau human helpers get in a enw codex of tau empire with rules for some imperial guard units updraded with tau tech, and maybe a few alien races maybe even some with *gasp* the baility to hold thier own in close combat.

They couldn't exist in 40k, not without some bad lore based around 'fixing' their self-life.

I'd like to see some characters get models and rules, Erebus, Lord commander Eidolon, Constantin Valdor etc. I really want Berzerkers on Juggernauts though.

Bring back Necron Paraiahs. I'm not sure why they were junked, to my knowledge nothing in their fluff invalidates them joining the Newcrons. Call them a project Illuminor Szeras has been working on.

As they're human blanks who've gone through biotranseference they'd be great anti-psykers with a minus or outright denial to cast aura.

I'd love to see more of the Black Library protagonist characters given models (or new releases of models) and individual rules.

Models for Talos and the rest of First Claw, Ciaphas Cain, Hyperion, and such would be totally awesome.

What will we actually get new models for?

Space marines, and other space marine related nostalgia things that nobody asked for.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

So basically the re-release previous iteration of Cities of Death kits which could be built as both intact buildings and ruins?

EDIT- Oh, and my vote: Xenos wise I'd like to see Rak'Gol (so much so I've already made two.) as they are just so... alien, unlike all of the other major races in 40k save Nids. Who doesn't want some pyschotic are they/aren't they Chaos worshipping xenos? On a similar tract I want to see some odds and sods xenos brought in with the Tau as a kind of back door in o they don't have to do a full on codex (though a Tau allies codex would be fab). Old model wise I want to see some of the old DE characters brought back. Some of the old Chaos mounts, specifically Palanquins for Nurgle (yes, I know they're in the index. But that's on borrowed time IMO).

Hate to break it to you but they're never giving us a codex. At least not as of the vigilus q&a.
Personally I'd like updating of all things finecast. Then working on rules, then those pirate lizard kinda guys who take slaves. I forget what they're called.
