SCP has been going on for years and years. It probably hit it's peak around 5 or 6 years ago. A chunk of the more modern ones are somewhat more contrived. But pic related is always fun to scan over.

I found a good you tube series that reads the more popular ones, even a really good cartoon based on the series, worth checking out.

SCP is pretty neat, but the earlier entries are definitely better than some of the later ones. Really, the missed opportunity is that the series never properly expanded into serial fiction. Oh there's some fics out there, but nowhere near as many as you'd expect given the monumental amount of source material. Some of the community is completely opposed to the idea for reasons that never made sense to me. Instead they just keep churning out case reports long after mostly running out of good ideas.
