Hi everyone.
After a short break, it's time for a new project. DIY of course, but I did not feel like doing another vehicle from scratch. I wanted to try something new and sculpting seemed like a good idea. I chose nurgle because I heard that they are good for beginner sculptors. And I like all these all tentacles, horns and scabs I called this thread (and this sculpt) Great Unclean, because I had to call it somehow. And my plan is just to create a fat nurgle-style guy, with a space marine trapped in the stomach.
I've been working on it for a few days, so I can show some parts already.

It's a sketch of what I want to do. I always improvise and do not need drawings, it's more for you to imagine the whole thing

And that was my inspiration: nut and mandarin, which I found under the fridge (it was totally dried up, probably my cat stuffed it there a long time ago).

That's how the first steps looked like

And now

Thats the axe (HIPS, milliput and greenstuff).

And base: stone wall with sewage outlets. One will be the jaws of the beast, the other will be the rubbish heap of old space marine armor. I made it from plaster. First cast then carving.

And outlets hatches

Fat man is still in the early stages. And marine too

Right hand with power fist (or something like that )

Left hand

Next to the fat man will be a wooden pole on which a mini drone is sitting. Making a drone I used a shell

Enjoy

Thanks!

I painted a little to test the colors. It transpired that painting is still my greatest weakness

Base (still WIP)

Eye of sewage beast

And head processing

Weakness? I respectfully disagree. There is mad talent on display all around.

Small progress. Although a small failure would be a better term

I worked with epoxy resin for the first time and it went terribly... I made a leaky mold.
In addition, I badly secured it and the resin was stuck to the mold. I did not mix the resin corectly e.t.c

In the meantime, I started doing a cannon to the drone

Despite the mistakes it still looks pretty awesome to me! Loving the eye peering out the sewer, real B-movie vibe going on there (though better executed than any Troma movie I ever saw!)

Wow, that is AMAZING! Kudos man, that's gonna be a centerpiece model that every opponent will be jealous of!

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I feel like there is a double meaning when you say the "end is near" talking about a daemon soon to be unleashed
I looks great, and shows how much work has gone into this custom piece. I'm looking forward to seeing it complete and displayed also.
