I thought this was pretty neat and worth highlighting from today's news on the GW website. Not just attaching themselves with a box and such, but the Scouts have even added an official badge for warhammering (ok model making).
Really neat to see this and must be a big boon in GW's hat to get into such a group which should really help their out-reach into new generations of gamers!

Pretty cool. Wish they had that when I was in scouts when I was a kid.

Serious question as I do not know.
In the US, we have Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.. but no organization called just "Scouts"
Is the UK Scouts an organization for boyz, girlz, or .. anyone? If anyone, I am really happy for you folks..
My daughter did Girl Scouts and got disgusted when the overall organization moved more towards "Business and Leadership" centered scouting, instead of "teach you things you need in the zombie apocalypse" style of scouting..

Scouts is now for everyone. There's also Girlguiding (which used to be The Girl Guides) which is more female focused.

I heard the Boy Scouts rebranded themselves recently as "Scouts", and now accept boys and girls as members. Even in America. Girl Scouts are still a separate thing, but Boy Scouts no longer exist, as far as I know.

Boy Scouts was how I got into the hobby. At a Jamboree, there was that huge inflatable space marine, some battles set up, and two free white dwarfs. I spent the next few years rereading those two issues until they eventually fell apart. (One was for the Orc and Goblin release, river trolls, warboss, and maybe savage orcs) (the other was Blood Angels, showing off the new Death Company, sanguinary guard, etc.) Makes me nostalgic, tbh. I should browse Ebay and buy those issues.
The only downside is I think BSA is struggling. A lot of lawsuits have been filed over the last few months, Boyscouts becoming Co-ed was an attempt to help give new life to the organization, etc. I'm not sure how long Scouts will be around.

Well, there’s The Scout Movement.
This includes Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorer Scouts (unisex, age dictates which you’re in), and also Guiding - Rainbows, Brownies and Guides, these three are exclusively female.
Founder was Lord Baden Powell. And they’re an excellent source of experience for young lives! Automatically Appended Next Post: Video is up properly now.
Seems it’s an existing badge which GW are now sponsoring, rather than an entirely new one. And interested Leaders can apply for a free pack, containing brushes, paints, ETB models etc.

Boys can apparently join the Guides if they identify as female. Cue outrage and the apocalypse.

I'm pretty sure that Warhammer is an officially recognised skill for the Duke of Edinburgh award as well.
