Right, I would love to get some feedback on this. The thoughts are these:

- Lord Discordants run up the field with the sorcerer, for 2 x first turn charges.
- The sorcerer removes invulsave from the most pesky units (Knights, for example) for either the Lord Discordants or the Havocs.
- The havocs stay backfield in range of the Noctilith Crown with Abaddon for shooty action.
- Abaddon is backfield protector as he tears through pretty much anything he comes into contact with.
- If I don't have first turn, then 3 units are in rhinos, with 1 unit (either las or chain cannon depending on the opponent) to shoot in the enemy turn one.

I contemplated having the sorcerer backfield instead and on foot. It would give me 2 x Lascannon and 2 x Chaincannon instead but would remove the ability to use Warptime and to remove invul on the enemy backline. So I thought this loadout was better.

Thoughts, changes and recommendations are very welcome!
- Rhinos then become objective grabbers.

I have not considered FW dreadnoughts, but it might be a possibility. Let me know what you have tried!

With the rule of three, you can't take 4 Havoc squads unless this is meant to be a narrative list?

You are right, I completely missed that. With that in mind I can either take a Defiler or a Contemptor with dual butcher cannons to replace the 4th squad or Havocs.

Take cultists instead of csm-cheaper for more board control and to fill the troop roll. Or change the battalion detatchment to red corsairs for the extra 3cp. You can then use those csm squads to tie up enemy shooty units in combat because they can advance and charge.

Chain cannons only have 24" range, if they're back field their targets will be limited.

Your only going to need 2 rhinos to protect the Havocs, drop 1 and take an exalted champion to give re-roll wounds to the lord discordants.

I would switch the lords to red corsairs for advance and charge, also 3cp. Swap a chain havoc for the dread and ditch one or two rhinos.

Ah right, I thought I had switched to Red Corsairs as that was the point for the 3 x Chaos Marines. Good catch!

Good idea with the Exalted Champion. The only problem is how he keeps up with the first turn charges, which is the Lord Discos greatest advantage.

How about this take on your list while keeping your original theme going?

Alpha Legion (soulforged)
3 Lord Discordants with Flamers
3 Defilers with Scourge

3 x 10 Cultists

Black Legion (devastation battery)
1 Jump Lord (93pts, you know the one)
1 Sorcerer (base)
1 Exalted Champ (base)
1 Rhino
3 x 10 Cultists
1 Hellbrute with Plasma Cannon & Missile Launcher
1 Havocs w/ 4x Reapers
1 Havocs w/ 3x Lascannons, 1 Reaper

More firepower, more assault power, more board coverage and 50+more wounds... (turn 1 charge isn't needed anymore, so champ can support turn 2)

Plus 3 lords can chase flyers and auto hit from 18" away, and the jump pack lord if you build him, can assault flyers where Abbadon can not, and regardless will out damage Abbadon.

What do you think?
