Posting here because I really need accountability for painting my minis.. Too much grey plastic on the shelf right now.

After painting, stripping, and repainting my Space Marines for almost two years now, I've finally settled on a chapter that I like: the Exorcists. They've got that nice Word Bearers-esque color scheme (helpful for using them with my small Chaos Marines force), and they specialize in fighting daemons. What's not to love?

These were primed with brush-on primer because my airbrush was out of commission until this morning. My next step will be using my Scale 75 Deep Red as the base coat. It's my first time using Scale 75 paints, so it'll be a bit of a learning experience.

Thanks for the words of encouragement!

Unrelated to my Exorcists project, but today I finished my side project I've been working on for a bit: Queek Headtaker! It was my first metal mini, and I learned quite a bit on the project (namely, how heavy metal minis are). C+C are welcome and appreciated.

Finally got a chance to put some paint on the palette and paint a test mini. I just wanted to see how the colors would look together, so I only painted the shield. I’m still learning some of the quirks of Scale 75 paints, so I’ll probably keep working on this guy just to make sure I’ve got the thinning down right before moving on to my marines.

Random Menoth warjack as my test mini because it was primed at the same time as my marines and I’m never going to play Warmachine since it’s mostly dead around here.

I've made progress while working on some actual Space Marine minis!

This one was my first attempt at the red. I forgot how hard it was to paint red over black, so it took more layers than I really wanted and I still have some touch-ups left to do.

This one I'm far more satisfied with. I basecoated most of it with brown, then painted the red over that. While it's still very much a work in progress, I'm a lot more satisfied with the red. I also took the chance to test out the bone color and the green for the eye lens.

Again, the second one is still a work in progress, but I'm really happy with how it is turning out so far.
