Yikes, that's a big sale - namely about 80% Warmachine (all 50% or more on sale). Should cross-post in the Warmachine thread if there is one.

Oh yea? Well dammit, guess it's time to gather up whatever Skorne I've been putting off until the End Times arrived for real ...

Its not the absolute latest Warmachine stuff if you're hoping to say, upgrade your Steelhead stuff with the CID releases, but a lot of older stuff is really tempting. Sadly, the stuff I want for the Oblivion updates are almost universally off the list.

I suspect many of these items will be even cheaper on Black Friday...if they remain in stock.
The Warmachine minis surprised me. I kept reading their sale prices as their original prices. Their MSRPs are outrageously high. How did a game that stupidly expensive ever take off? They need to discount their discount if they want to move that crap. (Although I probably still wouldn't buy any resin and metal minis. Restic for me.)

Yea, fair point, but I don't think MM will go lower until they really have to free up their warehouses.* Anyway, $170 later and I've got a whole lot of Skorne infantry + the rest of the Hail Kin that were in stock Aside, I hadn't seen the final Infernal production sculpts, some neat stuff in there. EDIT: *Or right, Black Friday S'ok, I suppose I'd rather have Skorne in the closet than dwindling stock in the world. Or something. (He said knowing ain't nobody buying this stuff but him at this point ...)

The original kits were cheaper than more recent ones, and the original game was scaled at a character, some jacks and maybe a squad and a solo or two. You didn't need a lot and the game was quickly sorted into effective and unreasonably bad models.
Over time they took all the wrong lessons from GW's playbook.
On a more general note, how is miniature market for orders and reliability? I've been halfheartedly looking for a replacement since the warstore closed.

Wow, yeah, if I were still in WM, that's just a ton of serious discounts. The starters were so cheap, I was tempted.

I've had very few problems with them. Their customer hold option lets you combine orders over weeks or months so you can get free shipping. They're my go-to online war gaming store now.

Miniature Market is great. I prefer DGI, but MM has some things they just don't and haven't ever really let me down.
As far as price, Warmachine's got issues with material. They had to get off metal, but restic killed their sculpt quality and their top heavy aesthetic didn't really work with HIPS. The new resin/metals are fantastic. Some of the nicest kits I've seen across all the games I play, but it just ends up making 10 man units of the stuff too expensive. Their current production model is far better suited to MonPoc and Riot Quest overall; and they need to find a way to make Warmachine a more accessible purchase.

During the Dark Day’s of GW ( 40K 6E/7E), Warmachine and Hordes made a lot of inroads to disgruntled gamers. Money rolled in, and they started charging more (as the incoming GW crowd was used to it) - at the height of their heyday, they also tried to impose a “no more than 20% discount”. Then the bubble burst, and prices never went down.

I'm in the Skorne Memes FB group, which is almost entirely about clockatrice hate right now, but took a break to lose its mind when Howlers were announced as 5 for $80, along with the rest of the 'fanbase'. Frankly ... whatever? Maybe part of the salt is that the unit is good, so its sorta pay to win? Unless Howlers are trash in which case PP being dumb? Don't have much of a stand on this one, except that at this point I've paid more for less resin I am sort of sad to see PP pricing itself out of the game to some extent, and related, lowering the standard competitive points from 75 to 50 would be a good step to getting people like me, who play many games and don't have time to paint new or heavily rebuild an older army, to come back, as well as newbies to be able to stomach putting in the work to get up to fighting weight.

Miniature Market is probably the best go to online shop if you're in the US.
Sadly the prices weren't really grabbing me. They're cheap, but not impulse level gotta catch 'em all cheap.

Now that the Warstore is gone (tanked by a criminal employee who stole/sabotaged them into bankruptcy...disgusting)...Miniature Market is pretty solid.

Got in on some add ons for my Warmahordes. Still a fun game to play and I don't mind supporting them when they have their sales.
Miniature Market has always been good with me and I preorder a lot of stuff from them as well with no issues.

Oooh!
Finally got that Dust Bull, and some other gribblies from Dark Age that I'd been wanting for awhile. They've had better overall PP sales earlier in the year, and all the newer PP stuff doesn't seem to be in the sale, but I got a few things I'd been wanting that were marked down lower than the usual sale prices.

I want to pick up a couple more WoK things, but I have been spoiled and now look at the sales that are “only” 50% off as “not worth it”... it’s hard to see something for $25 or $12 and think it was only $5 a couple months ago and likely will be again in the future... especially when I am sitting on like 2 starter sets from each faction just sitting unassembled in my basement.
I have never had any real issues with Miniature Market. I did have one Black Friday sale that I only really bought in on because there were a couple items I liked so did a $100 to get free shipping... and the items that I really wanted were labeled wrong or something so they didn’t actually have them in stock. They still gave me free shipping on my order but didn’t tell me the items weren’t available until I got my box without them... I was of course refunded but probably wouldn’t have bothered ordering had I known the items weren’t available. But that was once over like 200 orders over 7 years...

I doubt you'll see crazy cheap WoK prices anymore as those were from CMoN who sold all their stock to Miniature Market. Black Friday might be a bit better but I'd be really surprised if the $5 boxes appeared again.

Wow - they have a lot of newer WM/H stuff too - maybe not Infernal new - but in the last year or so new.
I hope PP gets their act together. I'd like them to stick around. Especially because I want to switch over to P3 paints.

I didn't even look at the Hordes and Warmachine stuff after getting burned thrice buying PP humans thinking they would be roughly human sized and having them show up as everything from petite 25mms to stormcast size, so I realized that they just don't have any uses outside the actual game.
As an outsider, when I see MM clearancing off what looks like the entire range it sure isn't a good look for Privateer Press. Hopefully they learn to make humans a consistent scale, find a material that works for them, and put out a game people care to play at some point in the future.
