As much as I personally like Winter's battle reports, I'm pretty sure you need to actually post a battle report in the OP thread when you create a new thread in this subforum. Seems like a random plug otherwise, especially from a user with so few posts.

Random plugs aside, I also really like Winters' work. The sound quality sometimes suffers a bit, but the excellent tables and the focus on the narrative are a big bonus that lifts said channel above many others. It is always a pleasure when you see new uploads from them waiting for the evening.

Ok sorry.

What quests you enjoy the most.

I predict most people like paul but i think chewie is also nice.

Most fun to watch so far have been a four player ffa with at least paul chewie and if i remember right the claw.

I have found out that Winters have a habit of repeating same lines and sometimes his narrative is totally off depending on guests. Best narrative with paul of course.

Winters SEO is a solid watch, he's good at explaining things and usually forges a decent narrative. I definitely tune in to his battle reports as they pop up (I've also never, ever seen anyone get away with so many disgustingly resilient rolls lol) but he has a habit sometimes of playing the same army for a very long period or being a bit cheesy (especially with names). Moarhammer is another channel that works with WintersSEO and has a similar style but tends to use the exact same army elements repeatedly (khorne berserkers and mauler fiends). They're both good though, would recommend.

Tabletop Tactics are another good channel. They're actually hilarious sometimes (well, Bone is) but don't tend to do the most narrative things and are a bit more about the tactics etc as their name would suggest.

This! Tabletop Tactics are awesome. They are funny, and rarely play meta lists, (But I have seen them play some very competitive lists) and I also Like the miniwargaming guys as well.

Agreed! Love the Bone cam. The banter between the players are great and they always mix up the armies so it doesn't get too repetitive.

Shout out for Grim Resolve and Striking Scorpion.

I've actually learned a lot about playing 40k watching their battle reports. They're less frequent than Winters or Tabletop Tactics, but they are excellent.

There was nice 9th age channel called warbox gaming for some reason i enjoyed watching their videos but they stopped filming for no reason.

Officially they said they dont have a camera but the video stating it was obviously filmed with a camera.

I don't care for Tabletop Tactics. For some reason their reports rub me the wrong way.

Yeah winters is far superior to anything i have seen.

Depends somewhat on setting though. The gak is not always raw.

Weird as it may sound, I really like Winter SEO's battle report videos, but I don't watch them.

What?

I watch the opening of each batrep where he shows off the gorgeous tables he makes, describes the story and mission and then shows off the armies. And then I stop watching. Play-by-play batreps and video bat reps aren't my thing (I prefer reading reports with pictures), but I love his terrain and set ups, so I'll devour that stuff and then leave.

I can just about put up with video bat reps from Sword & Steel just because Melody is so quirky and funny (either that or she's high all the time), but I just can't watch others.

Best video bat rep I ever saw was still photos set to music, fading into new photos that showed movement with the occasional text and some fun visual FX and sound effects. Got a sense of flow from the battlefield, everything was steady, and the music kept it interesting. Wish I could find that again... it was years ago.

I understand.

Someone commented on youtube to do the same.

One thing i have noticed that when the guest introduces their army winters is quite hasty and eager to go deploy, often interrupts and says hastily "yes" "yes" and tries to take forward with the camera.

Would do good to let the guest inteoduce first and then that hasty hobnob could inteoduce his army at peace.

I love Winters SEO, but I usually am listening to him narrate the game, his accent and tone are very soothing, and glancing up at the game as I am painting, I play 40K Battlereports in the background as I hobby
