Suffolk, where the Aliens roam.

Started something similar a few years ago, in 2015 ish and after barely getting going rumours surfaced that Blood Bowl was making a comeback, so I made the call to jettison everything and start fresh. Here we are a while later and after some life upheaval since 2018, I am finally in a good place to start focusing on this again.

The goal is to have a fully painted NAF league as it was in the 2nd edition Blood Bowl book, but with some additional and changes to the teams to tie it slightly more to the NFL and my own liking. So hopefully this will be the first post in a long ongoing project, it won't be updated weekly but I am planning to do at least one update of note a month for the foreseeable future. The planned list for the teams is quite adventurous in the sense it may change, also if a team isn't constructed and/or painted yet it is subject to change if teams are released that don't fit a slot taken, and if you look at the NAF list below I have created I am assuming some teams will eventually arrive. Bold teams are purchased.

So here is where I am as of the Start in October 2019.

Shots of my collection as it stands

Also teams I have ready to construct, just ordered the first Lizardmen as well. (not sure which team it will be yet)

Two teams so far have seen paint to the point I am ready to show a closer shot. (one team in the second shot above is my other halfs Skaven team, so won't be a part of this project, although I suspect they will see play over time vs those that are) and ignore the red on the Dark Elves above, my four year old tried to help me paint a few weeks ago, so I need to sort the Witch Elf and a few Death Guard out at some point. The Reavers also have paint on them, but not the full sixteen, so as yet not ready to share a closer shot.

Both the following teams are what I refer to as Stage one.. all base colours on and a wash to tie things together before I start going for more detail

The Gouged Eye

Bluchen Berserkers

Will be trying to move along with more painting over the winter, some teams are still waiting for Star Players before I can fill them out to sixteen, and the general plan is not to paint a team until all sixteen players (or more in some cases - Goblins) are ready to paint.

Will be back with more shots as things move along, my hope at the very least is to get the Gouged Eye fully done this month.

Morathi's Darkest Sin,

Good luck in building your league. At least you have two painted teams to play against each other.

Cheers,
