Hi folks, having a brainstorming session for a Grey Knights librarian. I have a leftover sword arm from the Primaris Librarian kit that I really want to use as its a very cool sword. Only problem is that this arm in particular is very long compared to old marine arms and so I don't want to have a conversion looking like a deformed abomination. I was thinking a conversion into a GK Librarian might be the ticket as its a terminator armour model. However, I don't have any spare bodies to test fit and i dont want to buy for sake of buying to find out that it doesn't work.

ANyone got a pic of the Primaris Librarian sword arm on a GK Terminator body? Or any Primaris Arm on a terminator body?

If all you want is the sword, could you just cut it (and the arm you're mounting to) off at the wrist and glue it to an old length or appropriately non power fist carrying arm? Or does the extra gunpack and such on the grey knight block an easy cut?

Unfortunately not. I was originally going to use the arm for my Primaris Librarian conversion and cut at the wrist as you say, the issue is that the back of the hand is covered by a lip of armour on the forearm that pretty much makes cutting impossibl without destroying both pieces. Probably a deliberate move on the sculptor's part. Truth be told I'd rather keep the whole arm anyway as it has some really nice detail on it.

It's not going to look right. Terminator arms have specific differences... Big knuckles, big blocky gauntlets and elbow plate, exterior pistons, and are just generally thicker. The librarians gauntlets probably would look OK on a terminator but the rest of the arms would look odd, particularly the hand.

Best bet is to cut the sword off under the hilt and above the pommel, then stick it to a terminators hand.
