Thought it might nice to have a discussion thread for the Skaven. While they generally revolve around hordes throwing themselves at the enemy, that isn't always the case.

So any thoughts or ideas on how to make a proper fighting force?

Always a factor in GW games, but with Skaven in particular it is very important to consider how strong an army one wants to make. Skaven run easily from extremely poor up to the top end of effectiveness, and everywhere in-between.

Generally speaking, filling battleline with 3x40 clanrats then adding some means of battleshock immunity will set a Skaven army up for success.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Ninth is right. Skaven is a really unique faction. You can be every single tier possible. Building around a giant blob of leadership immune horde sets you well on your way for sure.
