New year, new army! I got my hands on the new Chaos models and it hot my hands itching to do some converting.

I kicked off with the lord and his karkadrak. I love the model but I wanted a more aggressive head on him.
After some trimming down the neck I added a collar.
So then I sliced his head and a Juggernaut' head. Boy In missed the thrill of that 'oh boy this model is lost if I screw this up' feeling.

Looking forward to pics, I almost bought the STD set, but found an old Khorne start collecting on the cheap, so I’ll have to wait on that one for a bit.

Ooof. That beastie is brutal looking with a Jugga head. Nice work.

Thanks for the comments! I've been back at it and started adressing the rear of the mount. I die some chopping and removed material to house the wat shrine on his back. This Warlord is a trophy taker and I want it you show





I'm not sure on how to go from here. Leave the side pieces as is or remove the spikes from them and attach them to the center colomn.

The Slaves to Darkness beast was already a good looking model. The addition of the Juggernaught spikes to the top of the head is sport on. Really adds a bit more to the model.

The addition of the palanquin bits makes him stand out further. Though bragging about killing a bloated frog is a bit weak. =D

Keep up the good work, what are the plans for the rest of the army? Will they be trophy takers also?

That idea for the Juggernaut headswap(?) is so simple yet it works so perfectly. I far prefer it over the normal model!

Cool start! I was nearly tempted to buy the STD BattleForce but wussed out, I’ll have to follow this instead. Much more adventurous than I would’ve done too! Oh and I prefer the inclusion of the horns

Hey all! First of all i'm really sorry I went silent for so long. The flu held us hostage for a while here!
I blame Nurgle for not building a Lord to his divine image of pestilence and decay!

I,ve been back at it! First of all I worked on the Lord. My army will be themed 'the Altered legion', sporting lots of mutations.
So I used bits of various kits to rebuild and compose his torso and arms.





In a few days i'm hoping to receive the missing bit for his left arm! I ordered a horn from Ebay to finish off his stance.
I envision him standing there, having just blown the horn and pointing at the enemy he just nominated.



I also worked on a new base. I actually liked the original base, but in the end I opted for a more toned down version, to keep focus on the model itself.





Next up is tidying up and finishing off the details. I will be adding loads of throphies on this puppy and start thinking about paint.
