Cheers. It is. The Rivendell Knights kit comes with really nice casualty sculpts so one was offered up to the creature.

Very nice rendition of a 'modern classic' miniature. I must say that your conversion (and others that I have seen) are real improvements on the stock model

Thanks very much. The idea for the thing in a cave came to me randomly as I was falling asleep one night. Had been brainstorming what to do with all that 160mm space for a couple days before.

The Maggoth Lord kit is an amazing treasure trove of bits. The mouth, tongue and tentacles are all leftovers from it.

@IGtR= Thanks. Appreciate it.

A unit of Varanguard is next for this project. Then I'm doing the model that got me into this hobby years ago.

I'm going to paint up Egrimm Van Horstman on Baudros to be my Tzeentch Sorceror on Manticore.

It was the battle report in this issue that was the catalyst for this whole thing.

In a bid to head down memory lane I've been trying to track down an online copy of it but all the PDF's etc I've found don't include the batrep.

Funny to think how different peoples wagers would be depending on their knowledge of the background...

What are you using for the snow on the base and do you apply pre or post varnish?
The slightly dirtied white looks great.

And the models are fantastic too.

It's secret weapon miniatures crushed glass mixed with realistic water. Its the very last thing I do.

Thanks for the kind words

That Teclis has an capital epic grand base.
Really like the model. Its a classic that already outshined one attempt to update the model and fought its way back.

Some great inspired stuff you got here!

Thanks for the kind words. I'm not the most talented hobbiest but take great joy in making them indisputably my own.
He's definitely still my favourite of all of them. Jes Goodwin sculpts are timeless (luckily for Eldar players )

Saw that unit in the "Report on your WHFB" thread, and I have to say, it's absolutely gorgeous! The dragon wing banner is such a good touch, I love any kind of trophy-taking in Warhammer. I think you added in the Warcry guy really nicely too, really feels like a unit champ - great work!

Thank you so much. I am absolutely loving this project. I have a Daemon Prince, two units of hounds and a converted Chariot on the table right now.

The Maggot Daemon still has some work to be done but he was presentable enough for a group shot:

He's back at the painting table but I'll definitely post some pics of him once done.

Next up: A Gorebeast (He ate the Chariot )
