I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this one yet:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1115856510/cuetzpal-empire-and-magmhorin-realm-printable-files/description
My only association with this project is as a backer. It hits both my love of Lizardmen and Chaos Dwarves, so now I NEED to get a printer.
No images because I have no idea how that works yet...

I mulled over posting this.
My biggest issue is the price. 65 Euros for each faction's files is not cheap. Over 120 Euros for both is a big pill to swallow.
I've backed a few campaigns for files that topped out at 30 or 40 dollars with everything included, both terrain and models.
Yes, these are going to be quite big pieces. Yes, they look quite nice. But you still are going to need to print them all yourself, and considering the size of some of these pieces all that resin or filament is going to add up too.
Another irritating thing for me at least is all the stuff I really want is way further down their stretch goal list.
On the other hand, their Patreon that just opened today as well is a much better deal. 10 gets you some basic infantry models for both factions along with character models, plus the usual welcome starter pack (which has STL files for some models that were previously released as resin casts, along with some other new stuff).

No, at least not that I know of. Might be possible with something beyond consumer grade slicer software.

I use Meshmixer for that sort of thing and I believe Blender also can, but I haven't tried it. Both are free, though
Price of the stls is a little steep for my liking but they do look really good. I backed the lizardmen kickstarter and have been very pleased with the physical product I've had from them.

Blender would be the best. Meshmixer is really clunky and removing things is much harder then adding things. The question though is it worth his time to spend hours learning the software and then more hours removing the features he doesn't want?

For those that don't want or can't print for themselves, the campaign specifies that Fusion Forge (USA) and Resin Warfare (Europe) will have commercial license (probably more, since there are 20 available) so easy to just order whatever you want. I know I want some, LK does the best Lizardmen & Chaos Dwarves imo.

I think these are pretty cool, best looking Infernal/Chaos Dwarf stuff I've seen. Price is pretty reasonable to me and I don't even have a 3D printer (yet).
Lost Kingdom also launched a Patreon page as well, with more Dwarves and Lizardmen (with other things as well).
If you back the Kickstarter in the next 17 hours or so, you'll laos get some bonus models.[/quot

Aye, these are some really nice files, but they seem to have been afflicted with the common disease of artists/companies who're used to selling physical copies of things - overvaluing digital copies(by failing to account for the material and time involved for the end user - printing a table of this stuff will keep your machine occupied for anywhere up to a few months running 24/7, depending on what quality you want the final result to have).
Given the quality of these, I could have swallowed ~60 all-in, but more than double that? For terrain so strongly themed that it will likely only get occasional outings on the tabletop? Nah. Maybe if they hit all the stretch goals, the lizardmen stuff would be worth the price, but it's still a hard sell after something like Imperial Terrain's Cochin KS.

Sticker shock is pretty hard on this. But the lizard files plus a spool of PLA cost as much as two of GW's "baby's first ziggurat" and will look way better and cover more table. I've backed way worse STL campaigns in the same price range.
I'm more annoyed at the stretch goal structure, 1500 backers is too much to ask no matter how nice the files are.

1500 backers? I'm still looking at the 2000 backers...
The entry price is pretty steep, especially when you factor in the cost of a 3D printer...or 2 printers (SLA and FDM) for speed and accuracy.
BUT, having gone in NUTS on their last Lizardman KS, I completely see the value of having these models available on your desktop, especially with the latest release of the Seraphon Battletome. I need more Skinks and Temple Guard, and yes, I just bought that GW temple before this KS launched.
The good part about this is that Lost Kingdom mentioned that these files will later be available, either via Patreon or their web shop, if they do not fund during the KS. BUT...they will have a cost attached.
So even getting some friends to back at a Euro will get us closer to those last couple of goals.

Same. The STL kickstarters need to better understand how niche the market is, and if the subject matter isnt space marines or yet more dungeon/midieval town crap, they're targeting a niche within a niche.
Antimatter Games are running into similar issues with their Uncharted Realms project. With a pledge level of $30, they need over 550 backers just to unlock the shipwreck terrain, and that simply isnt happening.

Out of curiosity what are the new mounted models? The photos seemed locked for non- backers.
They have't gotten me to hop on their Patreon... yet. Which is funny because that seems like a pretty good value money wise, especially as you get both dwarf and lizard models.
Next month they did say they're going to include the chameleon guys which were one of the items I missed getting during the initial KS.
Plus the 500 backer models just unlocked!

With the pterosaur and bull unlocked on patreon that's getting mighty tempting.
I wonder if those mounts could be printed decently in FDM? They look large enough.

@Highlord, my goal is to break in my new Ender 3 Pro with these larger models. I'm planning on trying the settings from Fat Dragon to print the figures, and the terrain settings for the mounts. I have a buddy who gets truly excellent results (about 80% that of a resin printer) with his Ender 3, and it would be nice to duplicate that.
Between Twin Raven and Lost Kingdom, I think I will be pretty much set for Chaos Dwarves and Lizardmen.
Now to just wait on their rats...

It's very impressive. Assuming everything they used unlocks of course...
Which it may or may not, depending on how you divvy up the Kicktraq projections. If it hits the ~135K euro projection with all backers on the 120 euro pledge, that'll be about 1100 backers, whereas if they were all 65 euro pledges, it would be over 2000. Since it's likely a mixture, who knows.

What doesn't unlock will undoubtedly be sold on Patreon eventually. But we must keep in mind that the KS pledge might not include everything in that amazing picture.
