Came across this and figured it would interest quite a few here. There's a selection of some of their most expensive publications which have been made free to download for a short period of time. There's a whole host of subjects including chemistry, physics, programming, statistics, maths, arts etc...

Wow, that's a lot of books! I don't know if i'm up to understanding even... most of them but it looks like a really neat resource for a lot of people.

I had a good trawl through that. Lots to play with.

Aye there's quite a broad spectrum of subjects; though its heavier on the maths, coding and core sciences; but there's a decent presentation. There's also a good spread from introduction books through to more advanced concepts.

I like how one title is 'Linea Algebra', and another is 'Linea Algebra Done Right'...

Just happened to be looking for some R material. Thanks for sharing! Are they available to keep for a limited time, or is the agreement to delete them once a window of time has passed?

I suppose while we’re discussing articles, I should also point out that a lot of COVID-related research is currently open access. I imagine the intent was to allow researchers easier access to info, but it’s there. The research isn’t just about the virus itself, but some of the political and economic impacts as well.

I would assume its all free to keep. If they wanted it free for only a limited time they'd have made it read-only-online and linked it to account registration for access.

My wife and I were both math majors, so we have all the Springer books we could ever want...

They are good quality textbooks for anyone unfamiliar.
