Since we don't want to scrum up the N&R thread with not directly AT talk, I'd thought starting a discussion here was prudent.

What I have for both right now would be:
Aeronautica Imperialis
1 Thunderbolt Fury
1 Thunderbolt
2 Marauders
2 Marauder Destroyers

AT
2 Reavers
2 Warhounds
4 Cerastus Lancers
3 Questoris

both AT & AI translated straight to 40k rules WYSIWYG is
837 PL & 21,961 Pts
Apoc is 836 PL

So only a 1 PL difference but how the detachment requirements for HQs works in Apoc might be a prob using that part of the system.

Any opinions welcome.

40k rules for big things straight up suck, wouldn't bother. Even worse if you keep the turn structure as is. Apocalypse is meant for big scraps like that and allows you to better have fun with your collection if Epic proper feels too complex. Though simpler than AT, it still makes your titans feel tough as everything around them dies in spades.

#ConvertEverything blog with loyalist Death Guard in true and Epic scales. Also Titans and killer robots! C&C welcome.

As Sherrypie says I would have a go with Epic. All of the rules are free online, so won't cost you anything to try them.

NetEpic is probably a bit simpler as a game and I think has better Titan rules (independent damage of areas and damage charts rather than the 'HP bar' of Epic Armageddon)

There is also Epic Armageddon

Horizon Wars by Robey Jenkins is another option. The units are generic but the mechs are custom and the game even includes aircraft, which alone makes it an ideal alternative to Aeronautica's hexed-based system.

Robey has also provided a companion book for solo play.

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.
