Don't forget, you can add better texture packs, such as  .
And the graphics are intentionally simplistic- it's part of the charm of the vanilla game, and also reduces the strain on the processor- this is a very, very intensive game, simply because nigh everything is destructable, harvestable and re-usable.

Personally, I like the default textures...
Plus I can't make any others work, and I've followed all the steps.

From the image you showed you'll need at least 3 stacks of gold blocks.
Each corner has 12 gold blocks. The center of the roof takes 20 gold blocks. That equals 68 gold blocks per bay. You show 3 bays in your image.
...I'm not sure how much mining you would have to do to get that much gold. Your mines must be massive. I know mine are, and I only have roughly that amount of iron.

Zombie pigmen drop it, before there was a theoretical cap to the quantity of gold in a map as gold isn't spawned beyond certain (over a million blocks out) x and z values.

You'll find the server address in the FAQ and in the sticky thread. Automatically Appended Next Post: Bad login could be anything. Make sure you have a paid account and you're signed in correctly (not playing offline).
