Our huge 28mm dragon, Vorago Draconis, is now available for pre-order at an incendiary price!
http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/28mmfantasy.html
This is a beautifully cast resin model that basically falls together — it’s one of the cleanest resin castings I’ve ever seen. The model is designed for tabletop use so is designed moving across flat ground instead of perched on a castle or lurking in a dungeon. Also toward that end it doesn’t have lots of fragile parts.
You can see how big this mighty dragon is compared to the 28mm figurine (for comparison only — not included). In order to get the model at the special pre-order price please order just one and don’t add anything else to your order....

Wish I had the money, but darn that is one beauty of a resin model. Especially going into the fine detail of the scale patterning on the body which might have taken the sculptor hours of work!

Technically, sir, that beautiful model is of a Wyvern, not a Dragon. This Wyvern erasure has got to stop.

Bladed/barbed tail plus front arms fixed to the wings.
Completely agree.
That does bug me massively.

Ahh but in many lore the wyvern is simply a breed of dragon. Indeed its a complicating point because some lore considers the wyvern a type of dragon whilst others consider it a fully separate species; whilst others the wyvern is the only form of dragon and the two names are used interchangeably. Drake is also a term that can sometimes be attributed to the two wing two leg form of dragon.

Funny how things like these were considered dragons for hundreds of years, until Gary Gygax turned up.

With the long tail and lower body they look more like a phoenix rather than a dragon

Or perhaps a Yokohama
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yokohama_chicken
Though both of them are more modern breeds they were created from stock from Japan. I believe there's 3 or so original breeds from Japan that are all titled as being potentially the original "phoenix" breed as such with the insanely long tails.

The most recent paleontology studies conclude that Dragons were probably feathered and that the wings were actually there to cool the body after breathing fire and not actually used for flight.

Lovely dragon. Nice to see someone make one walking and not flying/wrapped around something/on a huge pile of loot/etc. for a change.
Book marked for future purchase.

Has any one actually gone with that angle in any media?

Not that I've seen but give it time...
