Cool! I would be interested in the prequel Armada stuff, but I already have two sizeable fleets of Emp/Rebs already!! Maybe when individual ships come out I can do a couple of repaints to be surplus ships for each fleet, especially Rebels.

Never did get into X-Wing much, as the chase for cards across all the ship was too fatiguing. I have been thinking of using a few ships for a Gaslands retheme, though, as that game would replicate flightpath dogfighting even better than X-Wing, because of the mechanics of changing speed.

Ah, they finally uploaded their failed stream to YouTube. Flipping through, I didn't see anything too exciting for me, personally... until the last 30 seconds of the video. New edition of Descent makes me very happy.

Lotta nice prequel ships for X-Wing (and Armada, if you're into that sort of thing). I was getting pretty close to painting my own Jango Fett Slave I, but getting it prepainted sounds a lot easier!

That armada stuff is so tempting, haven't played that game in years. But if there's one thing i'll say about the prequels is a lot of awesome designs came from those movies. Clone wars is also a better setting for a space war game. I guess since these come out in december (ish) then I have time to think on it.

Anakin turned out pretty well from the looks of it. Also, one step closer to getting Ahsoka.

I've been waiting for a generic Clone Commander. That'll be nice to have.

No. FFG time a lot of their announcements for Gencon every year but as it is not happening this one they are just doing them as planned, it actually has nothing to do with Gencon.

Clone Wars were the only way to tempt me into Armada. Will have to see if the local scene picks up on it, though I'm sadly doubtful. Glad to see it's not been taken out back and shot yet though, I know people were getting anxious until they slipped out the Clone Wars soft-announcement a while back.

Would've liked more Phase 1 helmets in the Clone Specialist box, but beggars can't be choosers.

Tempted to get the X wing squadron JUST for the ships.. since I play 1.0 .. hmmmm

did Armada get a new/2nd/revised edition like X-wing did or is it the same original game they first released ?

Can't believe they are still making ships for Armada. Well, I'll just have to pick up the Republic ships, I guess.

I think the card upgrade for Armada is just rereleasing the existing cards with errata and making them standard card size, instead of the smaller versions they'd been using.

Also: Heavy tie is tight. I like the eta 2 comes with a jump ring, wonder if we'll get one for the original (and anikin's souped-up pod racer/starfighter).

Those alternate poses just make it.....oomph soo better.
I especially love how we get like, a clone medic and gak like that, way cooler than the droids everyone else gets.

Does the Eta detach from its hyper drive ring?

EDIT: I watched the stream. It IS detachable AND is usable by the Aethersprite and V Wing. WOW!!!!

I am also very interested in what comes in the Armada Upgrade card set. There are still a few hard-to-get (or damn-near impossible to get) ships, and I hate all the effort of making bootleg copies of the cards they came with, even if all I play is friendly games with a buddy or my 65 year old dad, lol.

I, too am tempted to get the Heralds of Hope set just for the ship models, but at the same time I am the type of guy that likes all his ships to be painted as members of one squadron, rather than a rainbow of individual colors.

I hate how permanently large swathes of both Legion and Armada go out of print. It feels like if I ever even think I will want an item, I need to preorder it or just risk them vanishing forever.

We just got into Legion with the Clone Wars stuff and there are already several units we can't even Ebay.

Will definitely be preordering the new Armada sets. Has any major site put up pre-orders yet?

Legion by comparison seems to be doing a bit better at keeping things churning out, but it's still a game you want to grab what you want as soon as it comes out, lest risk not seeing it for months - it'll turn back up eventually, just later rather than sooner.

So how many Imperial repaints will the Republic get? Are Clone War era Victory's still a thing?

From what I've heard, this has a lot to do with the current issues with distributors not needing/wanting to restock product beyond its initial release.
