Hi,

While I did not like them the first time I saw them I start to develop quite a fondness of Multilasers. The look just somehow appeals to me and I would like to use them for some kitbashes, proxies and maybe as alternative for heavy weapons teams. Yet I was surprised that actual pieces don't seem to be that common.
I know of one in the Sentinel kit (could get those from bitsshops now and then, but they are all "right side" so have an open left side)
The Chimera and Valkyrie have a short one each
The FW Carnodon comes with 4 short ones (but is expensive and I don't know of bitsshops that sell those separatly)

Are there any other kits that contain Multilasers or third party companies that produce a weapon with a similar aestethic? So multibarreled energyweapon, preferably with a similar muzzle?

Maybe use a minigun rotary barrel from other models ?

sentinal kit has one. The tankier looking version exists in the chimera kit as well. Those are however not multibarreled multilasers, I believe they are merely to indicate a "high rate of fire laser"

FW Elysian Tauros Venator comes with 2, though they are OOP. your best bet is to get from the sentinel kit and patch up the open space with plasticard and modify it to a heavy weapon on a tripod, or modify the barrel of the lascannon with that of a multi-laser.

There's a company called Egghead miniatures that sells parted out FW kits. You could try them and see if they have the Carnodon kit available. If not, they might well order it in for you if you ask nicely.

You could combine this barrel with lascannon bits, but that might get expensive

The old metal square cadian sentinel had one that looked like an oversized vickers machine gun

I'd be shocked if there isn't an STL out already. If not try any of the IG-based patreons and make a request.

Take a lascannon, carefully cut out the barrel portion between the main housing and the muzzle bit, and replace it with four brass/plastic rods glued together?

@ Kid_Kyoto: I'm not really familiar with 3D printing, but it's an idea, thanks.

@ Hankovitch: I... did not think of that, but it makes a lot of sense. If I can make that work it would double the amount of parts I can order from bitssites, thanks.

@ Snrub: I looked, but they don't seem to have the Carnodon. But I think with the idea of 3D printing or converting lascannons I might get somewhere.
@ all: Thanks again for all the input

If you're doing plastic rod then there's no need to buy lascannons, just cut a hollow rod at 45 degrees and stick a smaller rod inside to make a muzzle.

So, I found some nice looking files for 3D printing and as I wanted to try that out anyway I just ordered some multilasers from a printshop. I'm curious how that will turn out and will keep you posted.

Just wanted to share the result of my first try with a 3D printing file:

The MLs are from Thingiverse and the creator is Vontragg:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3963999
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3956786

I used a 3D printing service, as I don't own one and they are made from resin. There were two things that don't work out as planned. First, the shorter version intended for a chimera turret has some little dents on the left side of both MLs I got printed of this version, but they can get away as battle damage/be repaired. The second thing is, that the pintle mounted/crew served version (the one with the shield) had the handles broken.
Buuuut on the plus side: they already have "holes" in the front, so I don't have to drill and the details on the "gunshield" look better than I would have expected from 3D printing. They also match the GW Lascannon from the heavy weapons squad pretty good and most importantly match exactly the aesthetic I was going for.
Therefore thanks again for all the input.
