When will this meme die? There are plenty of pieces that show things that aren't available as miniatures. GW just aren't going to let randos from Deviantart draw whatever they want.
Skellies are very nice and provide a viable option for more armoured deathrattle.

Considering how low fantasy everything has felt so far, I still feel that slight glimmer of hope that as we play we might be able to see some actual progress and upgradability in our heroes of choice.
At least from what little art we've seen, none of the heroic looking characters are comparable to the top shelf elites that permeated Silver Tower and Hammerhal. I'm enjoying the fact that things look a bit more mundane than high ranking Stormcast, Skaven Warlords and Grey Seers, or Exalted Champions rubbing shoulders as they wipe out assorted minions.
Heck, maybe we'd even get to find loot to equip and the like? Level up and get new abilities? Dare I dream?
The witch hunter has an underslung stake launcher. I wouldn't be too hopeful for upgrades and progression.

I think the price will be £100,000,000. At this price it would be a hard pass for me.
This is a totally legit rumour. Quote me.

That guy thinks Warhammer Quest is going to be really expensive because it looks so much better than the new HeroQuest.

You're correct that they look like Blanchitsu models and horrendously incorrect in thinking that this is somehow a bad thing.
I'll take Kopinski or Gallagher over Blanche, thanks.
Eh, Kopinski's non Warhammer work is bland af.

There's a difference between "blanche-inspired" and blanchitsu (aka blanche, but flanderized).
Followers of "blanchitsu" have no chill, both amateurs and in this case, the GW design team.
Blanchitsu is literally just JB's own models. Has been since the 80's. You're definitions are backwards.

I think that refers to other, more specialised units. IMO Skeletons, Grave Guard and Black Knights are all solid kits and will stay. Cossack undead will be unique to the Cursed City box like the BSF stuff was.

We've seen two models from the new Soulblight range proper and neither had any of the eastern flair seen in the CC undead. Both carry on the aesthetic set down with the (7th?) WFB VC revamp.

A bizarre take. They're posed like marionettes, which is pretty common as skeletons go.

GW hasn't had generic zombies since they redid VC, when they turned them into weaponized scarecrows.

Cronch wrote:Recycling "dead" fantasy characters is actually really annoying, cause it stops them from developing new ones. Unfortunately, they cottoned on to how well nostalgia sells some time ago, so AoS will now forever be just Old World characters "miraculously surviving/being reborn/trapped in mirrors" with minor spotlight on "current timeline" characters. After all, everyone loves Gotrek (even if the series should've ended where King wanted it to)
As lovely a narrative as that is, it's false.

If it was a case of "vampries gonna vampire" why would he rule the city afterwards? Seems like the necroquake just made it feasible for him to act so he did. The article says he was "strengthened" by it after all.

If the boss of a Warhammer game is an ogor he's going to be a bigger ogor, not smaller. It's pretty clear that the hosts got it wrong. They were given an unusual piece of info (a human vampire leading ogors) which was awkward because they were busy talking about 40k at the time.

Wut? The preview on Saturday was AoS only. They dropped the info at 1hr28min in. They get info directly from the design team/lore team.
Pre AoS stream was "Here's my DA army and Eddies been working on his Orks!". Every reveal was "This would look great as a <insert 40k unit here>". Adam briefly mentioned a Stormcast army in between waxing lyrical about Dark Angels. AoS clearly isn't their bag and they made a mistake.

Nice sidestep of the *see an AoS minis*... "That'd make a great X in 40k!" that happened with literally every reveal. I don't know why you want to die on this hill, their own social media has said they were wrong twice now.
