Now that the Dark Angels are getting updated, I thought this might be a good time to update and expand my Dark Angels army that has been collecting dust for 12 years or so (Primaris free obviously). One thing I want to add is a Land Speeder Vengeance, but the model is SO ugly. I want to convert something else, and this is what I was thinking. Please help me decide if this is a good idea.


Land Speeder Storm as a starting point. Ditch the scouts, scout pilot, and underslung missile launcher thing. Add in a sitting marine (I have a spare gunner from an assault bike) as the pilot. Make some kind of "power generator" to put in the passenger compartment. Use a converted Plasma bit from the Leman Russ Executioner underslung under the nose.

Would anyone have a problem with this? Any suggestions on improvements to the concept?

Sounds like a neat idea. I went all.Starcraft for mine with a turret, but I love the idea of the jury rigged plasma generator strapped in a converted transport speeder

We'll, I think you can start with an even more different model... Like 2 standard Land Speeder (or one with an hull extension). Also the Land Speeder Proteus, if you can get one, is so bare ones that adding weapons and stuff should be there easy.

I made my RW Talon master out of a car and with a raised road to match the profile and LoS, so I would suggest you to go crazy.
