So I'm putting this in general cause this applies to any wargame, hobby game or even just hobby collection.

https://pileofpotential.com

A simple and yet powerful little website that lets you organise, display and share (or keep private) your hobby projects. It's been made by Ciri of The Hobby Room on Twitch

Just sign in and make a hobby project. The data entry is all manual so you can set whatever fields you want in terms of the items. There's then a selection of tabs for things like bought, painted, undercoated - even manual entry price slots as well. Because the data entry is manual you can build any army, any game system or even just list out a random collection of models from anywhere. With options for points and prices you can manage it to keep track or just help you tick things off the list. It's also a neat way to share your projects and hobby with others since at a single glance you can show everything without having to write it all out each time.

This is a nifty idea.

I literally created a spreadsheet to do this for my older Deathwatch army force to see what I had, in what condition, and if it was worth investing in some Primaris to get back into it.

This is just a much prettier and more intuative version of that, so thanks for sharing.

I've done similar in the past with excel and notepads and stuff. But it was always just a personal thing. As you say this is prettier and more formal and its also sharable too.

Certainly looks fancier than my spreadsheets, not looking forward to copying all that info across though.

That is a really cool idea, but I'm afraid I don't need a website to track my ongoing projects, I need a whole logistics and IT-department!

Very nice!
Like others have said, this also crossed my mind before. I used Excel and then switched to Memento DB because it's fully customizable and has a Windows and an Android app.
Which I will stick with, because I would be missing too much.

Suggestions:
- check box for "Pre-Assembly Prep" (washing resin, etc.)
- possibility to add pictures
- give units a note tab for weapon loadouts, etc.
- add a field for "Storage space" (yeah, my pile is that bad)
- add a search function

But the more I think about what this is missing for me, I realise that may not be a site for keeping track of your collection, just for your pile of shame.

This is rather nice. Currently adding my Stargrave stuff. May then move onto my Kill Team and other stuff

Its not set up for 3D printing workflow, but I think I can forgive it for that

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Might be worth a gander. Currently got a colossal OneNote set up to track everything and don't fancy importing.

Suggest they consider some sort of import feature in future. Though, re-creating the inventory may be carthartic in that it helps me flog some of it

Edit - well, as you need twitch or youtube, that discounts me. Hopefully, they'll provide the ability to create a username direct with them in future and I'll take another look then...

I think an import feature might be near impossible considering how many variations people would have of lists even if using the same software.

I also hope they do do a general sign-in though I used my twitch without issue (esp since twitch is basically Amazon now)

I just started having a play with it and yeah, there are some things that would be nice to include, but I can deal with notes in the unit title for bits that aren't handled in the checkboxes. This will take some time to get aligned with the projects... but may actually help keep things on track and clear some out.

Not even going to play around with it as I don't need one more thing to take me away from my pile of shame. I'm sure it's useful to some as I have heard others using spreadsheets to help track things, but that is not the way for me.
