Seeing as the Emporer is a 10k year old desiccated corpse (I.E. quite dead)....
I'd expect the only way he'd fall before Slaanesh is if he somehow tipped over.

These threads should really have been posted in the Background forum.

The Emperor did resist Slaanesh. He took power from the Chaos Gods and cheated them out of whatever deal they made. The Gods got payback but still.
Also, any Chaos servant dedicated to one of the other three Gods.
And the Necrons. And any remaining Aeldari (cos the whole soul consumption thing). And potentially the T'au. A whole lot of people actually.

For a guy with only 5 posts you're certainly demanding.

They wanted him to fully corrupt humanity and ascend to stand beside them as the 5th ruinous power, as I understand it.

Meanwhile, over in Fantasy, Archaon resisted and refused Slaanesh in a direct face to face interaction as part of his test to gain the Crown of Domination.

Several billion, if not trillion.

Better known as Orks, Grots, Snots, Squigs and the entire Tyranid Race.

Necrons too, if you count them as living.

Like any Chaos God, Slaanesh needs a chink in your armour. An interest to turn to a passion and then to an obsession.

Eldar likely aren’t immune as such, but more than disciplined enough, or indulged enough, to be highly resistant.

To add on, Slaanesh isn't really an individual in the way memes tend to portray them. Like, if you're in the room with a daemonette, you're technically in the room with an aspect of Slaanesh. If you're in the room with a keeper of secrets, then that's a bigger and more potent chunk of Slaanesh. So like, how much Slaanesh are you asking a hypothetical individual to resist in one go? If you were in the heart of Slaanesh's realm and they called as much of their power as possible into the room, they still might not technically be capable of dedicated 100% of their essence towards being impressive or whatever.

Like, could the Emperor lift Godzilla? He theoretically might be strong enough, but how exactly do you position each of them so that Emps is lifting the whole kaiju at once and not just like, his tail or something?

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

The allure of Slaanesh and Slaanesh's daemons is heavily supernatural (i.e. warp/psychic power based) as most people save Slaanesh worshippers would be repulsed by their appearance and extreme acts. As such, their effects can be resisted by things that counter warp powers. For example, in Fracture of Biel-tan, a Farseer was shielded by her Ghosthelm against the Masque's hypnotic compulsion to dance (while other Eldar around her fell victim). However the Ghosthelm heated up to burning hot from the strain of resisting the power and the Farseer eventually could not stand the heat and took it off, to then also fall under the Masque's power.

Well, Fabius Bile did. He basically said, "you're not real, just a weird warp phenomenon" and went back to his experiments. And he said this while looking at Slaanesh itself mind you.

Fabius didn't fall to Slaanesh because he wasn't on Laeran and didn't witness that which corrupted the first of the Legion to fall. He did their surgeries and augmentation but only as a twisted scientist looking for his next big achievement. He never denied that the Chaos Pantheon existed, he just didn't believe they were Gods rather they were just Warp creatures. He did deny Fulgrim although later on did have to swear loyalty to his Primarch once again.

But he still gave into his excesses like the other EC, however he did come back from the brink.

He might not have been in the temple when the EC first head the music of slaneesh but I would say he was already working under the influence by then. He was already a mad scientist and was quickly exploited the corruption of the his comrades to enable him to follow his own excesses, finding volunteers and slaves on which to perform worse and worse experiments. None of the EC knew what slaneesh was when they gave their souls over to it.

Except Fabius never pledged or fell into the embrace of Slaanesh. He did his experiments because he was bananas not because he got his jollies from it. He made the Legion their drugs and enhancements because he was fascinated by the results as a scientist. Is he a Traitor Astartes? Yes. Is he a Chaos Space Marine? Sort of but more so by association rather than outright choice.

I don’t agree, Fabius has taken great joy in the things he’s done for many different reasons. His ambition drives him and a self belief that he can do a better job of securing the future of humanity than the emperor himself, by being a better genetic scientist. And keeps claiming that he will die and stop cloning himself once his work is done, but his work is never done because….. he is a perfectionist (and obsessive)

But he was like that before Laeran though. It began with the Blight before Fulgrim was even found.

Hot take here but personally I think the answer is anyone can resist slaanesh or frankly any of the chaos gods. The point is that most people cannot control their own desires and be come a slave to them in the process. It means nothing if it’s a magic compulsion. The corruption that chaos represents is not some outside force that compels you. It is you. Now obviously the longer/more you’re exposed the harder it is to resist. No one can fight forever, but at the end of the day you only submit if you choose to do so.

Indeed. Slannesh doesn't corrupt you. You corrupt yourself. Slannesh is just the mirror of your own desires.

Yes and no.

The Gods and their Daemons exploit character flaws.

If someone is content, or as close as we can reasonably get? There’s less to exploit. If the status quo works for you, you’re that much harder to tempt and corrupt.

The trouble with the Imperium it that is pretty much a miserable place to live. The ignorance engendered is, in theory, the best way to keep people from following Chaos, because you can’t take an option if you don’t know it exists.

To touch on Real World Politics briefly? Imagine that the Satanic Panic was kinda real. And it’s One Hundred Billion Moms with organised clutching of the pearls about the dangers of putting Chaos Gods into TTRPGs, because the Chaos Gods absolutely are real. That’s The Imperium’s approach. Cover it up, don’t talk about it. Don’t even teach most of your populace how to read if you can at all help it. Because it’s better than the trillions toiling galaxy wide in abject misery getting even an inkling of a quick path to power and pleasure etc.

To put it bluntly the Emperor as far as I can tell would pimp hand Slanny and tell him/her/it to get back where he/she/it came from.

Good point, I had forgot about him, speaking of that *Man of culture and taste* I would have to wonder what would happen if he and a dark elder homucli got together for a few drinks?
