Managed to finish an 11 year old project piece for this month's painting comp. A tribute to the M35 Mako from Mass Effect. Originally conceived to be a las-plas Razorback for a computer game based Marine and Inquisition force. Then kids came along and it got put on the backest of the burners

And with a previous entry, the Andromeda Initiative Kodiak

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Looks really good, I like it.

Although just looking at it makes me a bit seasick, remembering the bumpy ride in the original Mass Effect.

Absolute legend.

Have you finished any of the other mass effect conversions you had in your gallery - Geth, Krogan, etc? Those are ace conversions as well.

Hah. Good eye . Unfortunately not. They are still lurking in the pile of shame, alongside the Turian that is half done. I had grand plans, grand so they were. The Turian and Grth at least got mostly completed so I might pull them out to complete soon. It’s space marines in n March I believe and they would actually fit the bill. Excellent!

Nice work on the old Crow vehicle, too. Love Jez' work on the original sculpts for those.

The man is a modelling genius. It’s a pity the film industry stole him from us

There's lots of gamers amongst FX pros, so maybe he's recruiting to our side as well.

But speaking as someone who did work in that industry for a bit - it had always been one of his dreams to do, and when that opportunity comes, you make sure to grab onto it. It's 20% luck, 30% what you know, and the rest is who you know.

Thanks Pacific.

Just finished the crew for the March painting comp, so ends a project 11 years in the making!

Done all the main hero races, except Salarians, because their body form is just too weird What is that chest bridge all about, really?!

Mostly converted GW stuff, except for the Quarian who I printed.
