To clarify I am asking about a new one that would be introduced into the main codex and be sold by GW in plastic and not by Forge World and in resin and I am not counting Roboute.

The rest of the Primarchs? At the very least the Lion and The Wolf so Chaos has 3 - because yeah I'd add them in a campaign like the rest and so add a new Chaos Primarch as well to be their campaign nemesis - and Loyalist has 3?

It felt like they were about to do that by turning Luther loose. I'd also be figuring out something similar in scope (i.e. Supreme Command Slot, big centerpiece model) for the chapters that don't have a Primarch. Anymore. As well as allowing Successor Chapters using Inheritors of the Primarch to slot in their Primarch with malleable faction keywords.

My WHFB armies were Bretonians and Tomb Kings.

Thunderhawk if anything, but mostly what Lord Damocles says.

It's already too much that SMs have Leviathans, Fellblades and whatever that floaty Primaris thing is.

what floaty thing that Primaris have?

Also I'd say those are all Forgeworld and the premise is to somewhat assume the Forgeworld stuff doesn't exist. I read it as if everything was only in a GW store and in plastic That may or may not include anything in resin moving to plastic - or assume everything in resin is now plastic. I'm not sure.

I would like more Primarchs to be released and with the rumor that the World Eaters being a sperate faction it would be a good time to release Angron...

Also if they did bring out The Lion and The Wolf they would be part of their subfactions codex and not in the main book much like Roboute.

I'm honestly hopeful that the Primarchs confirmed as dead prior to them starting doing the Horus Heresy novels (Ferrus Manus, Sanguinius, Horus & Night Haunter) remain dead.

I wouldn't object too strenuously to any of the Chaos ones returning, assuming a good sculpt and a sensible background rationale - the same would apply to the Lion, the Wolf and the Shadow Raven, maybe even Vulkan, but Dorn and the Khan might be a harder sell.

A heavy tank destroyer - something like a Land Raider or Repulsor with a hull mounted BFG (similar to the Land Raider Achilles but with a better gun); or bulk up the Deredeo / Leviathan Dreadnoughts and move them to LoW.

Other primarchs who are not dead. (Ferrus, Sang) I’ll accept the comic book “he’s alive until we see the body” for guys like Dorn, who’s probably dead, but not confirmed. But they guys who are dead as a core part of the universe need to stay dead. And no clones please. I’ll accept a powered up sanguinator for the BA if they want to give him a re-do, but not the Big Guy. I’d rather the Primarchs had stayed in 30k, but that genie is out of the bottle, so might as well be fair about it.

Plastic Thunderhawk. It’s classic, fits in with the army. I’d buy one, even though it would probably just warm the shelf.

I’ll also agree that factions are defined by what they lack as well as what they have. While Super Heavy tanks were fine for SM legions in 30k, they have no place in a 40k chapter. That design space is somebody else’s.

Oh and obviously a heavy primaris version of the scout Not-a-Dreadnought.

I was going to joke about a Heavy Primaris Dread, but then I realized that's actually on the rumor list. This gag isn't fun anymore...

It'll be a Primaris-hawk now, whatever those are called. [It had a canonical name in the novel at the start of 8th]

There is a chance of that. GW is a frustrating mess of ignoring the past and kicking out new stuff nobody asked for, and/or mining nostalgia for cash. Some mega-flyer festooned with ironhail mega-stubbers and fragstom saturation launchers would fit it right beside a lot of the new stuff, and probably generate sales from newer players. But it would have 0 chance of making me get out my wallet. A thunderhawk though? Despite having no need for it, only playing apoc sized games once a decade or so, and running out of shelf space to store stuff? Almost no way I’m passing it up. Even if it’s priced stupidly. Which it will be. Nostalgia is a hellava drug. Ever since I saw them in the early days I coveted one. I knew it was never going to happen, but they were the unobtainable grail of marine centerpieces. FW resin is not something I want to deal with, both from cost and effort.

They make it achievable in plastic, I’m there.

I guess a tank of some sort would be the only thing. Just make the astraeus in plastic. It's a pretty cool tank. I'd say thunderhawk but it's just too big and it's a flyer.

Or just make Guilleman a little more badass and more useful to non-ultramarines.

Really space Marines don't have any room fluff wise for a large centerpiece lord of war model besides tanks until/unless they bring more primarchs back. I'm fine with that but big tanks are kind of a guard thing and GW really hates SM tanks being even remotely viable for some reason.

One Imperial Knight with all the options and the Armiger. Same for sisters and ad mech. No more standalone IK faction. That's my wish. SM have tons of superheroes and tanks, they've also got a huge flyer model, they don't need larger ones while IK as a faction has always been problematic to balance properly and pretty boring to play against, regardless of their rules.

Yeah, I'd like to see them all, even the dead ones. It's no fun to have something that another faction can't have because "lore." They can be dead in the lore and still have a model to play games with.

Um, I just want the FW ones to be made into plastic kits and have better rules...

All you need to do is make 2 plastic kits, each containing:

- Spartan Kit: Can assemble either 1 Spartan; 1 Cerberus; or 1 Typhon.
- Fellblade Kit: Can assemble either 1 Fellblade; 1 Falchion; or 1 Fellglaive.

These would be the easiest to do, the rest could remain FW. I'd also like Imperial Knights, specifically Questor Imperialis and Freeblades to have more soup options with other non-Mechanicus Imperial factors. Looking mainly at Sisters, Marines, and Custodes. So no Questor Mechanicus which should focus on souping with Ad-Mech.

I'm in the, "No new toys for marines," camp. At least until other factions have gotten a bit more love.

Part of me thinks it would be interesting to see how the other loyalist primarchs would interact with Guilliman, but I really, really, really don't want all the primarchs to come back. It kind of detracts from the mythic nature of the heresy, plus every primarch they've released has caused serious balance issues. Plus, Horus Heresy (the game) already exists. Like, once Vulkan comes back, he changes from being an imagination-piquing figure of myth with a treasure hunt you can build campaigns around, and instead just becomes yet another dude you get tired of seeing in every Salamanders army.

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

I'd like 'pure' Fulgrim from Fabius books. Would make for interesting drama and would be a natural opposite for 'snake' one, moreso than Ferrus. Make him a 'free' agent capable of buffing any SM, thought to lesser degree than RG (and with some drawbacks to balance him baked in). Alas, that would be actually a good story, and we can't have that these days...
