Andy Foster of Heresy Miniatures has started a short campaign (5 days) to get his Paul Muller-sculpted ghouls into Siocast plastic (including a couple of new poses). As of an hour after launch it's funded, and now into stretch goals - The Zombies are now added, and the Man-bat is next.

This is an entirely new product for Heresy and should hopefully be the beginning of getting a lot of his stuff into a cheaper, but still extremely detailed, and durable material.

Siocast looks like exciting stuff - all the durability of high end PVC 'boardgame plastic', but with much better detail, minimal mouldlines (if the machine is correctly set up, apparently), and the full undercuts associated with traditional metal models.

Heresy are some of the finest hand-sculpted models I own, so really enthused to see them in a more accessible material and price point. Interested to see if the lower margins are outweighed by the hopefully higher sales volume!

So far, the Manbat is the only thing to catch my eye. I want to support them going with plastic, but shipping costs would likely make more sense if I was getting more than one mini.

I've had some siocast in-hand and it's a really great material, far happier with it than any of the various board game plastics.

The new maggot men look pretty cool. I may have to get them to use in Dropzone/Horizon Wars scale as God Emperors of Dune.
