Is 'Eavy Metal Calling?

UK

As always, 2 days to select the theme for the next round. This month, your choices are:

Playing Tricks: From trickster gods to decieving dregs, through illusion magic and advanced camo-tech, a little sleight of hand goes a long way wherever you find yourself. Your entry should feature minis known for their deceptive or tricksy nature or skillset.

From Beyond: Alien invastions, demonic incursions, fey festivals and otherworldly visitations, the lives of mortals are beset by forces from beyond their plane or planet at a near-constant rate. Your entry should feature such otherwordly invaders, or else those specially trained and equipped to stand against them.

Reborn, Remade: From constructs forged from scrap metal to Space Marines enhanced by age-old genetic modification, many creatures find themselves remade to better serve their masters or achieve their goals. Your entry should feature such creatures as have been altered in some way to improve, evolve or develop beyond their original forms.

The Best Defence: From plate armour to forcefields, almost every warrior needs some help staying alive on the battlefield. Your entry should feature those who carry such gear, or are otherwise well-suited to defending themselves and/or those they fight alongside.

Any of these are good for me.

Reborn, remade would let me get more troopers for my company done, but I voted for defense, as I need an excuse to paint some BGV, or maybe the indominus captain.

But I’ve got xenos for the first two if they win.

I think Tyranids fit neatly under Reborn, Remade as well

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

OOooooh... Raygun Raptors.... yesssssssssss. I thought about crowbarring the into this month's Marines extravaganza, but there is no evidence that they deploy from ships, so Reborn is a much better fit

Voted for Reborn, Remade as I've got a lot of stuff that fits the bill. Space Marines (Wolfy ones or secretive ones), Stormcast Eternals, Drukhari Wracks, or potentially even Middle-Earth Orcs (they were remade from elves by Morgoth, after all!).

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

I see Playing Tricks has a small lead. This works for me too since, well, RG and all...
