How do!

Just a PSA, as the Texas Citadel has confirmed they’ll have copies of both Realms of Chaos books for their upcoming anniversary.

These are straight reprints of the late 80’s/early 90’s masterpieces which laid so much of the groundwork for the 40K setting.

Currently no idea if this means Warhammer World will be getting some, or if they’re coming back for a longer period. But I figured it’s news well worth sharing.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Rogue Trader confirmed to be returning to at least Warhammer World.

Don’t live anywhere near there? See my sig! No promises made, but if the group can help I can guarantee no scalp premium!

Noice!

Thanks for sharing.

I got the reprinted red book ages ago but I didn't know the green book was out.

It came out just before, quite fittingly, the plague times.

Got mine though, and very happy with it I am to!

Where did you see it for the Warhammer Citadel in Texas? I've checked their Facebook page and I see no mention of it. They do mention the LA store is about to celebrate an anniversary.

One of my Admins in the Loot Group. I mean, I’ve not seen anything beyond that, but they’re one of my underlings so I trust them

Are these the books that are compatible/contemporary with Warhammer Fantasy 3rd edition? Or are they 40k/Rogue Trader specific?

Incredible. I need to pick these up, then, as I'm trying to nab the 3rd edition WHFB books!

This is fantastic news. I've been trying to get a copy of Slaves to Darkness for over a year and I've not seen a copy sell for less than £150.

Well.

Reliably informed Warhammer World just has Rogue Trader left.

However, nil desperandum. They’re come and gone in the past, seemingly without warning or pattern. Given how quickly these sold through, we can reasonably say GW made their money. And as such, given it’s just printing costs (will vary depending where the printing is being done of course) they’ll quite probably be back.

Of course, I think folk would find it far superior if they got at least a Print on Demand job done.

I mean, all joking apart given just how much larger GW’s buying audience is compared to their original release? There’ll be plenty of folk wanting this slice of nostalgia.

And if they could see their way to reprinting the three Orky Volumes too, that’d be superb.

these went so fast i wonder if it wasn't a fresh print run but just a missing box from the last run somebody found in the warehouse

Edit: or maybe it was a delayed US run and the UK got a box for GW central could check the print quality which then went on sale, i guess we'll see how long the citadels stocks last

The Texas Citadel didn't have them on Saturday when I was there to pre-order HH2.0.

IIRC, it was specifically stated they would be sold at the store's anniversary.

That would be my preference. Even with proxy buying groups, I don't want to support the practice of limited runs only available at limited locations.

Even WotC figured out that there was no need to leave money on the table when people wanted to buy PODs of older editions of D&D.

I've been after that Rogue Trader rule book reprint for...a while now.

If anyone lives near a place where they can get one and wouldn't mind picking one up for me, I'll happily pay you for it, plus shipping plus a little something extra for your efforts - please PM me - thanks!

For me in Texas, that'll be the end of September. California's is next week, I think.

If they just offered them as a "Print to Order" for a two week period, I suspect they would sell a ton. I already own two sets of the originals (1st and 2nd print of Book 1), but would like another copy or two of each.

I was at the Warhammer Cafe in Los Angeles/Monrovia yesterday. The Rogue Trader book sold out by around 10:30 am (store opened at 10:00 am). The books were limited to either one copy of Rogue Trader or one copy of Slaves to Darkness per customer. Slaves to Darkness was $65. Not sure of Rogue Trader since it was sold out while I was in line to get into the store. Lost and the Damned was not available. Perhaps that’s a Warhammer World exclusive?

I've got an extra copy of the reprint of the Lost and the Damned that I'd happily trade for a reprint of the Rogue Trader book...
