Is 'Eavy Metal Calling?

UK

As always, two days to pick from the themes below! Runner up gets another go round in September. This time, your options are:

In It For The Money: mercenaries, pirates, plunderers and hired killers, some fight for no cause but the lining of their own pockets. Your emtry should feature such greedy and selfish warriors.

'Thatls not a gun... THIS is a gun': Cannon to rocket launcher, catapult to orbital bombardment, sometimes bigger guns are just better. Your entry should feature miniatures bringing maximum firepower to the tabletop.

Survival Instinct: Whether against overwhelming odds, determined foes or the enviroment itself, some fighters simply refuse to drop. Your entry should feature miniatures are uniquely suited to toughing out the hardest of scenarios.

A Helping Hand: Not every battle is won on the front line with blade and bullet, and no army can function without its support elements. Whether medics or engineers, planners or propagandists, your entry should feature models that act as force multipliers on or off the battlefield, rather than direct combatants.

Helping hand gets my vote.

It’s the kind of open ended subject that might provide a pretty wide variety of entries. Lots of something different.

I voted for Helping Hand, but I could find something for any of these.

Now showing various models from the previously adandoned projects!

I still like the merc one, but Helping Hand seems like it's got a lot of potential generally, and specifically I've had this idea in the back of my mind for a while that, if I can manage a bit of sculpting (far from certain), will fit right in.

(That, plus I don't want to split the vote and have Big Guns come through, because no offence to the idea but I just put a second colour on the Obliterator making it ineligible, don't do that to me.)

I’m good for all of these. Money would be a bit off my plan, but I’ve got a few mercs in the wings. Everything else is an easy pick.

In it for the money is a perfect excuse to get on with painting Core Space. It is literally a game of Scum and Villainy and I have multiple ship crews sitting primed.

I might be in the mood for a more civilian model, so I went with Helping Hand.

Chose Helping Hand so I have a reason to paint up the GSC "doctor" to use as a rogue doc in Necromunda.

I have 10 metal Escher, a Vyper, and some terrain (no medical themed buildings) left. Not certain how any of them could be tied to a Helping Hand. :(

Escher will definitely offer you a helping hand.

For a price.

Would a musician or a banner count? I would consider them a support role but getting whacked by a flag or a trombone probably hurts...

I feel like that's safe - the guidance is 'force multipliers on or off the battlefield', those definitely sound like they'd be covered by the 'on the battlefield' part, so long as they're focusing on holding their flag, not waving a weapon around. At least I hope so, I've got a standard bearer lined up for this month.

Yeah, absolutely willing to be quite broad with this one, as I appreciate some factions/games are a little little light on thiese sorts of minis. Anything that's not directly concerned with swording/shooting their foe in the face is at least broadly in the right direction.
