That's quite beautiful. The detail and shading you get on that small a scale is really impressive vent.

Heh, I think it's easier on the small scale. It fools the eye more

Flight Stands! I got bored this evening and decided to re do all my flight stands for X-Wing... I think they look decent enough. I'm trying to work out of a Gloss coat would be better than Matt... First world geek problems...

NECROMUNDA! We're starting up a campaign, so I thought it would be a good time to start painting these Orlocks that I acquired.

Speed painting for me, so this guy took a little over an hour. which is pretty good for me... ^_^

Nice paintjob

That miniature is my favorite from the Orlock range.

Awesome!

The flight stands are great. I'd do a gloss varnish to get that extra depth of color and brightness. not to mention its tougher wearing than matte. And the Orlock looks cool too. Looking forward to seeing the whole gang come together

Great to see you back, vent!!

Very nicely done Vent... but he's much too clean for an underhive ganger.

OK, more Orlock's. Took me a little longer than an hour this time, but not much... I'm having fun not using any metals. It's quite a good exercise to do... I think everyone should give it a go every once and awhile.

There's numerous minor things that have to be finished off, like eyes and teeth and lenses, but as they're for gaming more than display I'll get around to those at a later date...

I've been playing with skin tones and things as I don't normally paint humans, or skin at all...

I just love the color on them vent. Nice combinations... bright but not out-of-place. Highlighting makes them pop nicely.

And now for something different...

Imperial Assault.

We're starting the campaign tomorrow and my character is Jyn Odan. I figured that it's always better to be painted than not so I spent a couple of hours painting her up. These game pieces are not painter friendly, and it felt like I was pushing a boulder uphill... Still, happy enough with how it turned out. Orange is an interesting colour to paint...

Came out solid looking. Board gamed pieces are always rough.

**Vent casts spell of resurrection! But no one cared!**

So it turns out I'm still alive! Go figure! First two terms at school this year have been... tough. And while I want to paint more some times the drive just isn't there. Right now it is! More work on the gang... Better photos to come when I finish the last two miniatures... ^_^

Those gangers look fantastic vent. More importantly it's good to see you back in the game, at least a little bit.

Necromunda Figures. House Orlock. I thought it time I got off my ass and finished these guys off... Going to be using them for both Necromunda and as a TNT (This is Not a Test) warband. No metal paints used. Simple bases, kept them simple on purpose. Please note that all the images are ridiculously large. IF you want to see them in full size check out the gallery

Gangers, these guys are fun to paint. They come from the day when GW wasn't afraid to make lots of poses in metal minis so they're nice and varied. The very left is the test, my favourite is the second from the left.

The heavies look cool; well anything toting a massive weapon looks cool, but these minis have a base level of cool

The Juves! Fresh meat! (I forgot to paint their eyes! Whoops! I'm calling mutation! Keep that pesky Inquisitor away and everything will be just fine...

Our fearless leader! The chains were a pain, but they look cool, so I forgive them. Gave him a slightly grumpy look, which I think fits a gang leader quite well ^_^

Things I'm happy with:
- The skin, for someone with very little experience painting skin, I think they look pretty good, not great, and some were painful, but pretty good. More practise needed, but hey, what else don't I need practise on?
- The weapons / metal. Not using metallic paint is a good thing, I enjoyed trying to get it to look metallic, and even a little worn. It's no where near NMM, but it's fun to do.
- The colour scheme. Simple, effective and distinctive. Also, very little red.
- The fact I finished! Hahahaha, I have trouble finishing anything, the fact I finished is awesomely amazing ^_^

Very happy to see you return, vent!!

Orlock look great! Love the restricted color palette you used. The little touches of red here and there really make the mini pop!

Well I am going to use Zombicide figs for the scavvies, and I had been painting up my Escher Ladies a few weeks ago along with some spryers.
