Sorry for the later entry, but lets get a topic for next month:

Ewww! - Paint something wet, sticky, dripping or otherwise moist/fluid. Could be a vial of poison/blood/potions, bloody injured models. dripping fangs or oozing tentacles, or a swampy base. Technical challenge to help with new techniques.

Pride - There are many ways this term is used. Any miniature with their head held high, for whatever reason - chosen to carry the army banner or sacred relic, a rookie just finished training and spent all night ironing their uniform/polishing their power armor to look impeccable on day one, a commander pleased with their troops' performance, a ganger who's finally saved up/stole enough to afford the gun of their dreams. Or celebrating who they are. Groups of lions also are acceptable.

Introduction - Painting challenge 101. Your entry should be taking their first steps into a new world. New students, rookie gangers, someone just learning the ropes. Alternatively an instructor passing knowledge on to these fledgelings. As a bonus, if you are a new painter just joining the hobby, paint whatever you have (like the free Space Marine or Stormcast from your local GW) and we’ll help get you up and running with any questions/advice you need.

Renewal - Reborn, returned, recycled. A fresh start. Lot of different ways this can be interpreted. Changing of the seasons and the rebirth of spring. A fresh start with a new life. Rising from the ashes like a Phoenix. Or a necron. Also could be literal and physical, if you are upcycling old buts/parts/trash into a new creation.

Poll will run for 2 days.

I can work with any of those, but I'm for Pride, obviously - besides my whole legion being trans, I just had a bunch of She-Ra miniatures arrive in the mail yesterday.

Ever since I typed "Demon lord of Pride" (7 deadly Sins) into Stable diffusion and got a rainbow demon, I've never viewed that term the same way.

Went with Renewal because I've got a good idea for that one (Primaris Azrael), but I could perhaps figure out something for the others. Ewww would be the hardest, as I'm not sure I have anything with wet parts, although maybe some Middle-Earth spiders could work (a lot of people say Ewww! about spiders; they are the most misunderstood creatures on the planet).

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700
Check out my P&M Blogs: ZergSmasher's P&M Blog | Imperial Knights blog | Board Games blog | Total models painted in 2024: 40 | Total models painted in 2025: 40 | Current main painting project: Tomb Kings

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

Mostly, on my phone.

Renewal, simply as it's the only one that I have an immediate idea for - Gifted for Carnevale (magically mutated).

Went for Pride as I have a converted Celestial Lion OC to paint, but Renewal works as well, I guess. Only one I definitely wouldn't have anything for is Ewww!

I voted Ewww! since the two Nurgle champs I'm stripping the paint off won't be ready in time for my Centennial entry.

I voted pride because I bought some dwarves recently. They’re a proud old lot afterall.

Well if I set the poll correctly and did my math right, that should be our 48 hours of voting fun.

So check the blinking light on your palm and hop on the carousel. It’s time to renew!

(Which, ironically is a reference that only people over 30 will probably get)

To be fair, sanctuary would be a good theme…

Most definitely not, Nev.

Renewal, it is. Now to decide if I am going with my first choice of mini or dig through the pile.

So many options?!

Shiny new terminators.
Something Primaris.
Something from the HeroQuest reboot.
Shiny new Inquisition
SM scouts
Medicae terrain
…probably more

I'm pinning this to my chest like a medal because even though I cannot seem to win challenges, atleast my idea won the subject poll, LOL.

Leopold, every finished model in a Dakka painting challenge is a "win".
