As we all know, sometimes GW likes to charge us large amounts on some models that are, let's say downright terrible?  So, I want everyone, to think back....  What is the worst model EVER produced under the Warhammer 40K line.  This came to mind after seeing some pictures in a recent WD and I literally looked at those Chaos Possesed models and said, well, maybe there was something else that looks worse than these things...  Am I right?

well I only play 40k since 3rd, and besides some very ugly ones (Possessed) the sculpting does get better. but there are some strange new models
-the new Possessed are by far the most ugliest Chaos Models I can remember right now
-Karl Franz, he's just so damn overloaded
-Abaddon the despoiler, I can't help it, he looks just dumb to me
-the new head on the keeper of secrets. there was a time when Slannesh wasn't all about ehm... you now, this kinda stuff
-new emporer's children marines, I want my Heavy Metal Marines back
-the new Tau etherals

A couple of my votes in no particular order:

limited edition Aspiring Champion from the 3rd edition Chaos Space Marines army box (the only plus: when they ran out, it went away)

Doomrider (WTF? Just...WTF.)

Fabius Bile's Enhanced Warriors ("Compared to what?")

Captain Cortez ("Staying Alive, Staying Alive...")

Blood Angels Chaplain Lemartes ("For the Emperor! Charge!" "But, sir...it's just a big Wind Tunnel.")

Games Day "cheer leader" Space Marine Captain ("Like...are you guys all in the same Chapter?")

Chaos Possessed (Not even Vallejo paint and W&N Series 7's can fix Jazz Hands.)

Yep, Arioc has a good list there.

The Khorne Hero on Horseback for FB is also pretty questionable. As are the Chaos furies and the old harpies.

Some of the old "Head in chest" Tzeentch (?) figs were really just odd in an unflattering way.

Worst Model Ever

NAGASH, the killer clown from outer space.

And as an aside, he's questionably the coolest, most powerful character in any of the GW mythos. Powerful = crappy scuplt? Maybe. Someone post a pic.

Worst model?/ Hmm.... current ork vehicles that are so tiny.

The new venerable dread. Hands down the WORST vehicle.

Well for one the Chaos Possessed, who may really just be G.W.A.R in their new costumes. Apart from that I'd have to say the Noddy-like Striking Scorpions. Man, the rage over those things when they first came out...

the old did warriors who just looked like barney the dinosaur (if they were painted purple.)

Actually, thinking about it (and if we want to expand this discussion a bit), the Vengence Grand Cruisers for BFG were pretty horrible from a modeling standpoint. I don't even want to remember just how much pinning and filling of gaps was needed... and then I needed to make a custom base for the darned thing as it was ALWAYS breaking the base it came with (hefty, top heavy AND too much weight on the front).

If you want to see a list of ugly figs, just look in Garly Morley's portfolio...ugh.  I think 90% of all his sculpts either have a clownish look to them or are carrying a set of workout weights.

Doomrider is the suck.

And Fabeus Biles minions. They were very, very bad.

Nobody's mentioned the biovore yet, in the current incarnation or the last. And speaking of 'nids, the 3rd editon tyrant guards were hideous.

The head of the 3 ed. Liktor was a bad joke. All new Greater Demon heads are. And the new Chaos Possessed well 'nough said about them. Oh and the new lizard cavalry. Some of the designers has a real problem with claws.

For sheer pointlessness I vote for the Catachans, not only are they silly Vietnam rambos, but no one but Rambo has EVER dressed like that for jungle warfare.

Yeah possessed and all them are ugly but Catachans fail because while I do not know what a demon looks like, I do know what a jungle fighter looks like and they ain't it.

Urgl, the hairstyle is just...you know what would have been the best thing ever? The Doomrider's hairstyle on the new Possessed. Freakparty!

I can't believe people haven't said Krootox yet. It looks stupid and is perhaps the hardest model to put together. Yay for warped metal!

I like the Krootox...while being siilar to the old(and somewhat the new) Biovore, i think that it'S not that cartoony looking.

In their defense at the time they were made they were pretty decent looking compared to the competition.

Now that I think about it, I'm sure the new chaos whatever-they-ares are the bogeymen of 40k. They scare children into not having their parents buy stuff for them if they're bad. Consequently, they also scare well-off 30 year olds too. Two birds with one rock!

Guys, camo only works when you cover EVERYTHING.  A pair of camo cargo pants and a bare chest does NOT allow you to blend into the jungle, it just gives the leaches and mosquitos more area to bite.

Most of the olde bugs are quite bad,then comes the classic nurgle spawn (more of a wind organ than a daemon).Abbadoobadon.always him.hrrrmmm....old sitting marneus calgar,with the beakie guarding his toilet bowl.Old IG sentinel,that looked like a frog.All of the Dark Eldar range,there's already Chaos thats covered in spikes and funny helmets.we dont need more

Those are 1st Ed Tyranid Warriors. The latter plastic ones were better.
