So in the course of normal UK parliamentary reorganisation, the Tories have inadvertently created a stupendous name that should be used for something much more important…
Lord True, the Shadow Leader of the House of Lords!
With a bit of luck, at least a small amount of nominative determinism will result!
Who else has a favourite inadvertent naming triumph?

Well, if you're sticking with Tory politicians, it is hard to beat Chris Pincher and Peter Bone...
Sounds like a dodgy henchman duo when I think about it.

British Aristocracy in general is replete with absurd names.
There have been 2 officers in the British military named Manly Power. I mean, you just can't make this up.

In my area, I know of a pediatrician named Doctor Payne. Not sure how a kid would feel about going to see Doctor Pain even if it's not spelled that way.

Heh.
My parents trained with a Dr Death. Apparently it was pronounced De Ath, but I'm not convinced that helped with the patients...

I hope he worked his way up the ranks so at one point he was Private Sergeant, then Corporal Sergeant. If he got promoted again would that make him Sergeant Major Sergeant?
In the physics department of the university I went to there was an astrophysicist called Dr Heavens.

My school had a Dr Payne who taught German if I remember correctly. Terrifying woman, and dressed like she was in the Gestapo too.

Wasn’t the teacher’s true name of course, but they were very strict and were possessed of a….unique bouquet.
And so they were known as “B.O. Barracus”.
Now the cruelty of children aside, surely B.O. Barracus is a solid villain name.

One of my brothers in law has the surname Head, first name Richard. It all adds up to a good description of him.
I also went to school with a.boy called Justin Case. Parents can be very cruel when naming kids.
My wife had triplet boys, but she wouldn't let me call them Huey, Louis and Dewey. I still all them that in private though.

My childhood dentist was a Dr. Payne. . . He was the exact opposite of his namesake.
His hygienist assistant on the otherhand?? Her name was Xena, and I swear to Khorne she didn't stop til she drew blood.

Yeah, they think they're being funny, but it's really just cruelty. A girl a class behind me was named Crystal Shanda Lear.
My parents were more subtle... or possibly just that oblivious. My first name is Andrew. Both my middle and last name begin with 'S'.
It gets real interesting when I have to initial something with all three initials for whatever reason.

Just recalled that my mum had a family friend growing up called Dicky Aires. Apparently nobody batted an eyelid that someone walked round called pubes...
Although I think that only works as a character name in Viz magazine or something similar.
