You just don't see or hear much about Drop Pods anymore, especially since the launch of the Primaris marines. In fact, I wonder if Primaris Astartes would fit in a Drop Pod? I wonder if they are even part of the lore anymore?

Just one of those awkward bits a company focused on model sales glosses over.

I personally lament the loss of Drop Pods and Land Speeders the most. Marines dont feel like the Marines I knew no more.. Thank god for HH

Better question is how they get their new embiggened Dreadnoughts into drop pods now..?

Long wheelbase drop pods?

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Good point, I forgot they did that. Satisfying.

They still use Drop Pods.

The thing about 40k is that no one person can grasp the fullness of it.

I remember that weird bit where Primaris couldn't go in Land Raiders, Drop Pods, Rhinos, or the Deathwatch's Corvus Blackstar... even though everything else under the sun (including centurions) could fit into that flying sea turtle.

The Warhammer Adventurers books have Primaris in drop pods. And they're top tier canon sources.

Top tier you say? I'll use them to corroborate information when I fact check people here. (I typically use C.S. Goto novels for their unerring accuracy.)

Dark Imperium references Primaris using Drop Pods as well I believe.

I think they'll probably get to recutting the Drop Pod sprue to have Primaris passengers at some point and GW will ignore the scale bit (as they always have for Marine vehicles tbh).

They're more in scale than most people think they are, especially once you consider the exaggerated proportions of GW infantry models.

I once physically inserted 10 metal terminator models (including bases) inside a land raider to prove it should have a higher transport capacity.
